Come On Catholics, Even Vatican Nuns Endorse, Feed Media FOR Obama!

You how EWTN at least through its email "Wings" is representing an ever-closer Vatican agreement with the Eastern Orthodox Patriarch re what happens to you by clergy of any kind, officials, people, or both is just God's judgment upon you, keep your nose to the ground and fret not for neighbors? You don't know that? Hmmm, maybe Cardinals or Bishops or whoever actually is asking cable companies to pull EWTN...who knows?
Now, you know how all over the USA recently, Roman Catholic Churches were encouraging non-stop Rosaries, Novenas, Holy Hours, et al? Hey, an most were against euthanasia and abortion, right? Well, move over all you fundamentalist, hypocrite Catholics the new Orthodox Vatican helps authorities to self-identify while clergy preach only government policy to everyone else!

Yep, turns out that while your Roman Catholic clergy was exhorting YOU to do those things (notice how many themselves wouldn't attend, leaving to K of C, deacons, et al?), the Vatican and your absenting clergy are lockstep with the Left in actually campaigning FOR Barack Obama ( see for yourself: http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4516279n ). My, how those vatican nuns, Vatican, and USA media could just happen to bump into each other...the nuns find Obama a good and straight man, to quote them, plus the stuff which needs to govern. Where oh where are those 1965 IRS regs now, the ones that say if you do that for Dem, GOP, or other(s), you get no more tax free cash plus get fines?

This kind of malarkey doesn't shock anyone who's known the super-archdiocese of Chicago for decades has run so much rental space and motel space and housing via Love Inc, St. Vincent de Paul, Maristella, and in association with things like Lutheran C.O.O.L., and of course Catholic Charities, that literally all public housing and its occupants or really ANYONE politically expedient to local pols has only to talk to the Church...while anyone, any race(s), gender, age NOT "expedient" is turned away even from food scraps at pantries, told by Love Inc "maybe God wants you to be homeless" (kinda Eastern Orthodox, eh?)...this of course means saluting the only folks with money left, here being Illinois Democrat and tolerated token GOP officialdom, so that the State faith funds roll in unabated for whatever God's will is as seen through purseholder eyes.

I have nothing against the Roman Catholic RELIGION...it is, to me, a great one for demonstrating how Christ is simply about all people doing the right things by everyone they meet or rule, with Christ being a source of Divine authority for even Buddhists, Muslims, or anyone else to point to about simply doing good if one's own leaders claim only parties...not God...can give freedom or rights...I do fondly try to remember the post-Christ Church as it was with Fulton Sheen, but the Church seems at odds with the very religion it now sells to the USA public.

All I mean is that Catholics should have a right to deeply believe in peaceful ways because they are responding to God as He speaks to them via but one of many peaceful faiths, and that perhaps the Vatican, USCCB, or local clergy may not be the best de facto measures of what parishoner sacramental pursuits indicate...and the same way, even the Vatican and USCCB can join with a more Eastern Orthodox impression that government is always correct without ability to query or criticize; such clergy should just announce it to avoid undue accusations against those unsuspecting they may be called "fundamentalists" or something for walking into a Church simple.

Saying "Reeling In Christ" To Appease Muslims, Hindus Instead Of Calling Them ALL Terrorists Would Be "Change"?

I received the following email text from the HAF yesterday, said text being, to-wit:

"On October 13, 2008, the New York Times published a news article entitled "Hindu Threat to Christians: Convert or Flee" by Somini Sengupta.  The full article can be found here.

This morning, the Hindu American Foundation submitted a Letter to the Editor as seen below.  This Letter to the Editor is the third in three months submitted by HAF to the New York Times without a response or publication.  Yet, HAF continues its persistence for accurate coverage for the Hindu American community.  As Hindu Americans, we urge all of you as individuals to write to the New York Times and insist upon fair and balanced coverage.

Dear Editor:

Re: "Hindu Threat to Christians: Convert or Flee," by Somini Sengupta, October 13, 2008.

As Hindu Americans, we unequivocally condemn and repudiate all of the violence consuming Orissa today.  That the New York Times would engage in blatant, inflammatory race-baiting with the front-page headline above is shocking.  If the intention is to spuriously allege that marauding Hindus across India are contemporary actors emulating the Crusades or the Islamic conquests--then mission accomplished!

Telling are the omissions in Sengupta's reporting, that a) four others were brutally killed with Swami Laxmananda, including a female monk; b)  Swami Laxmananda was more than a "preacher"--he was a Hindu social worker devoted to social upliftment in a neglected region; and c) all of the ostensibly Maoist assassins arrested in the killings of the Swami and his aides were Christian converts.

The tragedy unfolding in Orissa state results from the venomous amalgam of the Swami's murder, and Hindu radicals in the area inflamed by evangelicals blaspheming Hinduism as they seek to meet quotas of new converts in a wild west battle for souls.  Pluralism and respect for the tribals' indigenous Hindu traditions became the first casualty that opened the door to the madness seen today." [End of material verbatim cited from HAF]

As a Causcasian Conservative and Christian, here is how I replied in comment to my friends at HAF:

"I read with interest your email re the issue of USA media making it look like Hindus are tag-teaming with all Islam or something to destroy Christians.

In a word, I understand your points and completely agree; and in this day and age, of Cheneys and Mushareffs and others of every kind occasionally being proven to have funded this or that situation ala State stagecraft, you can't always be sure of what you're really seeing at first blushes anyway...is this another one of those issues where political intrigue is a motivant yet the surplusage of religiosities, like the redundancy of saying "and they all breathe air, and had two feet, too!", suddenly is "of interest"?

In the USA right now, as articulated by The Becket Fund inter alia, all religion in the USA/West "needs"...Federally, State by State, both...to be regulated on grounds of alleged "national security"; a prime salient fraud in that, and one example only, is that Islam existed first, then Jews and Christians came along to kill Muslims, and Islam is a hater of Christ Himself...right there, of course, no speaker has ever read the Islamic Articles Of Faith, for instance, from Mohammed through 1406 et al....Christ is one of 25 Prophets "who must be named"!

I believe in isolating particular actors for acts they commit, when not a revolution or martial sovereign action; I have no rancor against Hindus or any whole group, and to my best awareness, certainly no Hindus or others are hunting ME down, e.g. .

What I would suggest as relevant to modern USA "religion/atheism" construction would be a reading of Ernst Bentz' work "The Eastern Orthodox Church: In Thought And Life"; I use the 1963 edition as same is taught in USA universities; particularly in the last chapter, "Greatnesses And Weaknesses Of Orthodoxy", Bentz lays out exactly how the Church in Soviet Russia had a synergy and alliance with atheism and the KGB; I would say it could be instructive to read his said work and compare to the chilling comparisons of "religious reforms for national State security" with those in the USA who would use Mushareff's 1999 UN proposal re Islam, and malignancies against non-violent Muslims and Hindus inter alia, to constrict the USA free speech and liberty traditions in lieu of delivering campaign promises...of course, at the same time signalling those behind torment of their own peoples abroad may they may carry on re-defined as "policing" whatever religion(s) THEIR leaders find expedient...and naughty critics thereof. Like not "pestering" Darfur's President Bashir and Janjaweed with Christian, Hidu, Jewish, or even Muslim "nosyness and busy-bodydom".

Again, I wish you a truly happy Diwali, and stand in complete confraternity with the Hindu American Foundation."

In closing, I respectfully reiterate I do not understand how Federal or State or Town "regulation" of this or that faith, or the labelling of atheism/non-practice of regulated faith, can be demonstrated to be per se tethered to USA national security needs.

USA Clergy: Anti-Papist Progressives Or Just Pro-Patriarchs?

I was waxing fondly over memories of the 2004 Presidential campaign, where the GOP made large of the fact even a combat veteran who was ONLY a Senator hardly had the moxy of someone who'd been a Governor prior to ascending the Presidency; this year, both parties agree that whether you're a Senator who's experience is that as an officer of the USA when you stare at your shoes against a USA enemy you're a rare one to get out, or a Senator who has next to no voting record and thinks military service is for those without means to college and who wouldn't even pre-condition Hitler, Hirohito, Laden, Iran, or anyone else no matter what they threatened or did how often, then you have the ONLY requisites needed for becoming the first post-Bush President.

Then, a TV commercial came on for some guy running against incumbent GOP Congressman Mark Kirk; the ad says the "Bush-Kirk" economy has put Illinois a gazillion in debt, vote for the Dem, Dems will fix; um, Dems like Melissa Bean, Kirk's Illinois Congressional colleague, vote for Bush-Kirk stuff including bailouts and her re-election ads say that's REASON to retain her; um, Illinois Senators Durbin and Obama, like Arizona Senator McCain, believe States rights should preclude even Congressional hearings into use of Federal funds let alone strings in funding bills; um, Illinois Democrat Governor Rod Blagojevich was newsworthy until this Summer for constantly spending Federal money on anything BUT what it was for, most usually on things like officials, their personal contacts Churches (like the Eastern Orthodox getting about $1million from Rod to build its new Gurnee Church), and housing/medical/retail favoring only the politically orthodox...but even the Illinois GOP recently claimed whereas it has power to impeach him, really, it should've been put to advisory referendum first, couldn't get on the 2008 or 2009 ballot, so what the hey...with the Dow rebounding after the final debate which showed no chance of change, let's give the Guv until his own 2010 re-election campaign to see if he'll do more than spend on what he did before...which of course happens also to be the very companies making up today's DOW ( yep, today's DOW index http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dow_Jones_Industrial_Average#Companies_included_in_the_DJIA : pharmaceutical companies, mortgagers, cell phone makers, and other non-job or shrinking-job/wage producers, including Google, which itself NOW wants $4 trillion for a secret energy plan...all who already couldn't make it without bailout themselves).

Just before being vacuumed in to that vortex of infinite rhetorical circular logic, I grabbed hold of its edge, and as I broke free it pulled forward an old memory of that non-Swedenborg writer Ernz Bentz, particularly his book "The Eastern Orthodox Church: In Thought And Life", I recalling the 1963 English edition I read as a youth. Now, this book was even cited in USA regular and State colleges as late as the year 2000 re studying religious traditions, theories, and practices.

In his book, Benz represented that before the Communists, before the Tsars, before anyone or any kind of government at all (and regardless of any type of same), before any "Great Schism" would occur in 1050 AD, the Eastern Orthodox Church wrapped itself in sacraments, and basically has forever held that no matter who runs the government, you worry not about your neighbors just yourself, and must accept that even when a government or official or friend or relative of one does you evil, that's just God's penance or judgment upon you as earth is for preparing for damnation only a few will escape anyway.

Benz also so represents that the Soviets merely added the requirement for the Eastern Church that it share police power...meaning that although atheism was official, the Church was to say even Soviets like Stalin or the KGB or NKVD were God's Will visiting the naughty, and to exhort its own believers to accept that; of course, at all times cooperating with Soviets to eradicate atheists and questioners; that included even nonsensical government opinions as long as the phrase "national security" was stapled to any self-serving suppressions. But again, that was something the Eastern Orthodox Church did for Turks, Syrians, Vikings, Tsars, anybody, throughout Russia's long history.

In sum, where today officials in the USA insist the bailouts are both good and concurrently bad, "who's asking?", and many neo-evangelicals as well as traditional USA clergy seem to say light is best filtered through officials secretly guided by God's penances or tests of us....let's hope they of other faith or atheism will not find such religion a law against them for non-belief, especially where "national security" cannot be tethered to coming religion-regulating laws; and on the economy, let's hope the bailouts DO stop evictions, foreclosures, job/wage cuts, price spikes; after all, with short wave transmitters AND receivers to be outlawed in the USA February 2009, we should just guess the next President will say "I sang a song, and the Janjaweed/Laden/Irans all ran away", USA media won't report otherwise happened like when all the for sale signs and garage sales across America don't make any news, and with us pre-conditioning/opposing no one all the bailout money WILL flow through our hands too...we should assume all this, shouldn't we, even it wasn't mentioned during campaigns as if some "them!" might be listening and wouldn't like officials doing otherwise and wouldn't notice otherwise, since we will spend nothing on defense anymore?

Very tricky, this eating cake and having it too, while trying to blame strawmen, bogeymen and fairytale ogres and dragons for what you've been doing all along anyway. Especially where those telling the public to "hate this or that!" have themselves NO ideas of what they would have take the place of an official, religion, what have you.

I look forward to supporting the next President and Congress in any ways they seek toward getting America back on track to being the beacon of goodwill and boundless opportunity in global diversity its campaigns promise. I mean no rancor to anyone while I stay with my own Universal Life Church interests, I just in the interim do not want to convey positive or negative against any one on earth...just a wish to keep doing right in every situation with respect to all I meet.

Some USA Churches Back To Helping Officials Find "Fundamentalist Levitican Christians"?

I've remarked re how odd it is some Christian clergy, and some assorted USA public figures, are fond these days of saying the historical appearance of the Abrahamic faiths is NOT Judaism, Christianity, Islam, it's "really" Islam, and Judaism and Christianity thick with Levitican "eyes for eyes" and such against originally Muslims; actually, that shows how little anyone actually listening to such stuff could remotely know about Islam, Judaism, or Christianity...making it gosh darn hard to fathom how "eradicating or taming Christ" will be enough to end world Islamic terrorism; such terrorism affects even peaceful Muslims, and what with Christ being one of the 25 prophets who must be named "only God knowing the total number of prophets", per Islam)...the Christ of peace Who by Scriptures and traditional Christian beliefs set us free from older traditions like Leviticus, opting instead for ways of peace and "let them without sin cast first stones" for salvation...it's mind-numbing to see how so little as saying "Merry Christmas!" "offends all Islam".

Ah, when Bibles, Q'urans, and Talmuds can't easily be had, let alone taught.
I've also this year earlier remarked how Roman Catholic and Lutheran Churches, inter alia, appeared to be working some sort of scheme with local "stakeout police" to draw in "fundamentalilst Christians", at a time Illinois State investigators would Bogart anyone checking out the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Obama and PFAW et al said Christians are bitter little fundamentalists, trying to turn the USA into a Christian country as the Pope crusades against Islam: that scheme was putting everyday inserts into bulletins/ad boards, re faithful citizenship and traditional stuff, then telling the authorities help is needed as Christians "against the new kinder theology" were flooding their congregations again; woe to anyone with an expired plate, near-expiration, light out, and whatever else "that kind" could be suspected of.

Then, it all went all for the Summer; even the Chiacgo Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church then went on about its pro-gay teachings, agreements with many faith-fund-deciding officials that Christianity DOES provoke Islam and that the Pope IS someone the USA Church should cede from to bolster national security on the cheap through abrogating all signs of even good works to not look "old Christian, out for their OWN goods", and non-concern even EWTN gets cut...after all, in the same markets, it even just moves to higher-cost channels, and only "poor folks and anecdotal fundamentalists of any income level" would be watching anyway; and, what they'd watch is the Church saying they're more mellow today than any California religion.

Now, I have nothing at all, never did, against someone because they were BORN with a certain adult-oriented persuasion; indeed, Truman Capote, Tony Randall, Raymond Burr, Liberace, Iranian-born Freddy Mercury (rock group Queen), author Somerset Maughm...the list is endless of such people who brought richness to our lives, and that's just the MEN!

But, when a faith sets about "reforming" its own theology and not so much its present believers as reform merely reflects most believers who de facto stayed away for years, it seems poor cricket to chime along with officials that anyone over a certain age de facto is some "Levitican" when the thing(s) accused wan't even the peoples' ab initio faith bent(s) anyway.

However, as if cheap gas meant "all the ones to watch now on road for pickup", yesterday at my local Roman Catholic Church amid an advertised Fatima (anti-totalism) Rosary at noon, once again a Lake County IL Sheriff car was parked at the west lot's south end, not as security, but to roll past parked cars as service began and be gone well before service over; this morning, all along the main road to and from same Church, again, Lake County Sheriff cars parked along shoulders, apparently not as security but to let attendeed be looked over and allowed to know they're being watched. One presumes that as this Easter, any parishoners then taking such as jackboot stifling fare and staying away will again de facto be branded "staying away from new message of main faith" and therefore "fundamentalists"...even by their own clergy, behind closed doors and backs.

I have no problem with ANY peaceful faith; but if some have actually a new faith, one in the nature of viewing earth as a place that's portal to perdition where you learn to abandon hope prior to final Gehenna...you're to learn that you lived before, were judged, and this is where great stagecrafts merely build up false hopes after teaching you how it works where God IS presiding over non-judged...then perhaps they should have one story for all people, atheists, and others who may have less self-serving beliefs.

Global Economics: Now Google Wants $4 TRILLION Just From USA.

Google wants the Unites States government to spend FOUR TRILLION DOLLARS on just alternative energy plans; how come they don't run for office, and why would officials say they don't include citizens or industries or Congress' own research into a thing before essentially not so much REALLY giving $4 trillion but "habitrail" control of a society run the way entrenched officials want it? In the spirit that there is absolutely no reason to pretend more ab inito non-existant cash needs to obfuscate for complete restructuring of human life, only the bitter and anecdotal even concerned and best shuttered up, I respectfully submit my endorsement of the balance of within text prepared by GOPUSA on grounds I think it would stifle the American way of competition and diversity (not to mention space FOR making fuels or jobs or farms et al, if all else just New Urban housing), said text being, to-wit:

"Coal alone accounts for 22 percent of our total energy supply and 46 percent of our electricity generation. Wind power and solar -- the renewables in which Google supposedly sees such potential -- represent only six percent of the renewable energy we produce and seven percent of the total energy we use. Even unprecedented progress in their development wouldn't bring them online in time to meet Google's schedule.

Today, natural market forces are bringing gas prices down and Congress has had the good sense to let the ban on offshore drilling expire. We're finally making some progress on energy, which is why we can't allow Google to dictate a national energy policy that will benefit the company at the expense of taxpayers.

Polls show that 70 percent of Americans support offshore drilling and the environmentally conscious development of America's energy reserves.

That's a solid, practical plan. Google's proposal would set us back and likely cause energy costs to spike.

They're just the latest in a line of corporate rent-seekers who want the federal government to pay for their projects. One of the key initiatives in this new plan, after all, is Google's own recently announced electricity grid.

American taxpayers are not interested in seeing their tax dollars subsidize Google's latest investment. I strongly urge you to do everything you can to reject this ridiculous proposal.

Like most Americans, I want a sensible energy policy that will make full use of all our domestic energy resources, including alternative and renewable fuels. I want more U.S. energy reserves taken off the "don't touch" list and lower taxes on energy to keep retail prices down.

But most of all, I want federal energy strategies that put the American people first, not the business interests of Internet billionaires like Google."[End of third-party text]
Makes one wonder how this will effect economies abroad, or if Google types will also pass the hat for equal or greater cash from other continents' leaders.

McCain, Obama: If It's Not Brought Up In Debate Your Issue(s) Insignificant?

It's intriguing that not only don't the Brokaws ask the questions on so many omnipartisan minds, as many VOLPAC posters within have noted, but notice not a single candidate or party for ANY office(s) ever sends out asking what THEIR supporters want answered in any debate or other format(s).

Given the political year baggage of Iraq, immigration, HR 1955/287g, UN anti-defamation activity of FUNDAMENTALIST Islam and leaders who support it, Darfur and Janjaweed, abortion, euthanasia, sterilization of the non-winners of bailout/tax and financial incentives of winners to have as many kids as they can proposed by some States, government criticisms of Christians despite at least 80% of population having Christian beliefs, and lack of just how exactly this bailout will THIS time save jobs/stop salary cuts/restore those now on reverse or regular mortgage brinks/promote great education/provide quality healthcare (all this just for starters), you'd think there could be SOMETHING in there any candidate for ANY office...let alone McCain or Obama...would just go ahead and weave their opinions on same into any anticipated debate answer.

While it's super-cool gas pump prices are falling every day, the failure of any candidates to talk about anything within aforementioned...which have not YET gone away, in some cases only recently arising...makes it seem like at best only "anecdotal pockets" of marginalized types would even ask them, thus they're not important to most voters any more than is how they'd be addressed ex officio, and thus why should any candidate or campaign or party or moderator/media anywhere even waste time on them.

If the goal is to sell to the Eastern Hemisphere all is perfect here and only bitter people not worth wasting your time worrying about will be toppled, it seems only fair to let the soon-to-be "toppled" so much as know they exist.

I hope that more candidates will at least quip about how great or small they think issues like security versus rights, probable cause versus "what if", jobs, religious freedom, and the like should occupy in any officeholder's policies and legislations. As it is, right now, believe it or not, as BRAC and recruitment office closures go petal to the metal, even puny runts like MyMood Alibabajihad are shooting down our USAF planes if close enough to him, with the only known USA officialdom reply seeming to be "shhhh!!!! Whatever you do or don't say will either provoke or support Islamic terror!Shhhhh!!! Be quiet, stare at your shoes, it'll improve if we think positive and agree it is, and say, can I have some more of your rights and cash to return it tenfold in ways I can't mention due to loose lips sinking ships "...in other words, Bush's Third Term, already.

Since When Is Christ Champion Of Leviticus' Punishments?

I know that today, it can be hard to even find a copy of the Bible; in many areas of the USA, even cable companies cut networks which happen to include Bible sales; in many areas, government itself will point a thick invidious finger at any child or adult who so much as checks out a religious book from a library, or says "God bless you!", or says "Merry Christmas!".

This leaves a number of special interests an opportunity to offer their own personal descriptions of what a faith is or isn't, not so much by making up or citing Scriptures, although that does happen on rare occasion, but through their own blanket expressions of how they want you to share their perceptions of the sum of all Scriptures...again, without citation to any in most cases, and in some, upon exhortation that the Bible in their opinion must be read from start to finish as the aggregating total of things a Christian (or even Muslims or anyone else incorporating some degree of acceptance of Christ into their own religion) must believe and do...don't even try to find a Bible, the good folks at 'Morel Orel", for example, can tell you all you need to know, and their claymation characters are NOT portraying exactly the kind of thing most Christians don't believe.

The most common complaint of modernist clergy and humanists is that the Bible has so many contradictions, this opinion based on false premise Christ picks up the whole Old Testament and runs with it. The most commonly plied ruse after that objection is that the third book of the Pentateuch, Leviticus, is the end-all, be-all code of justice Christ endorses and whereby ratifies salvation shall come to all mankind.

Now indeed, Leviticus, concluded about six centuries before the time of Christ, is the arch-prophet of God's wrath. That book sets down a laundry list of nominal to heinous acts which are called sins, says each of them warrants death, provides for such actual deaths including stonings, and for lesser sins, birds and animals sacrificed in particular ways are said to be acts which buy God off and He forgets all about it. This is one of those Old Testament Traditions Christ referred to as Mosaic (Moses) Law.

Yes, Christ did set people free of the law...not Roman or civil laws, but those laws of the Mosaic code which had been misconstrued through the likes of Leviticus; yes, just about anything done with the special intent the doing of it mocks God can be a sin, but through conversion back to God and good acts manifested in support thereof, any person anywhere on earth so acting is on the path of eternal life. Christ did NOT say ALL the Old Testament laws would fade away, for example The Ten Commandments Jesus Himself championed, just the bits about any human punishing another for their sins against God (or setting a "pay/go" to earn forgiveness)...the platitude about "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" ringing any bells?

I'm not here to say that those who still find relevance in Leviticus aren't peacefully trying to do good works, I'm saying that Leviticus is good for Christians to study to know the KINDS of human-based PUNISHMENT God frowns upon, and good for anyone at all to study within context of the whole Bible to see that whereas even Jesus could see the same things...when done to mock God...would be the same sins, the sins in Leviticus lead to SPIRITUAL death with God re the next life but some pre-Christian prophets or other human error(s) occurred in usurping God's exclusive realm over punishment after one's death.

Jesus said He came to forgive the sins of people (and prior souls) who did not earnestly know of Leviticus-type errors, and as well anyone who ever after seeks true reconciliation with God. Clearly, no matter your belief or non-belief, no actual day one Scripture nor Bible to recent times has ever portrayed Christ as a meanie.

So come again, modernist clergy and humanists who insist they shall deliver the world, via His eradication or via re-education, from the yoke of Jesus Christ?

Why Bipartisan Laws FOR "Assisted" Suicide, Sterilizations After Bailout?

As we hear more and more economists and scholars support what most of us already know...the trillion dollar USA bailout of all parties EXCEPT those (most of the nation) most in need to keep PAYING the "bailed out" is going to result in a Socialist-APPEARING society, yet operating with no more than rights and equity-abrogating totalists, both major parties, at best treating most everyday people as if they were in a habitrail owned by the totalists.

For example, already the brightest of the GOP, unchallenged by any other pols on notice of relevant GOP activity, are working to enact what they believe has the broadest support of officials everyhwere at every level, when it comes to how to handle all the growing and soon burgeoning number of people finding themselves out of homes and work, becoming reliant on parents or some State for survival until the "economy trickles down": sterilize all on "welfare" today, and anyone in future who needs a handout, but be "doing good works" as at least you'll give $1,000 to any man or woman who gets permanently sterilized (of course, give incentives for those WITH plenty of money, one day just the bailed out, to have as many children as they may)...source: http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=36907; at the same time, why not just let anybody found dead under circumstances more easily be labelled just some assisted suicide, as there are so many people who don't know how to kill themselves or express wishes to die on their own: source: http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=36910 ...and "cousin Ahnold" does have a majority Democrat Legislature who presented him that bill.

When Bipartisans Have One Economic Mind, Only Polemics Racism Or Chauvenism?

So mortgages, AGAIN, will back up this bailout to everybody except those already in mortgage dutch...notice not a single officeholder, Federal, State or Local anywhere, has said something like: "I guarantee this bill not cost jobs, hike prices/interest, require more cheaply made housing, or allow anyone to be kicked out of where they now live, nor will public salaries hike or we all require absolute nationalized say-so over your very existence, nor will we just issue 'okay' new serial numbers to yet-yo-come-only immigrants so THEY can get credit like happened before...if anything there is a lie, I'll resign, give back all money I made in my life, and forsake retirements so you don't have to!"

On a related note, FOX this Saturday morning ran an economist saying that in 2001 the national debt was 35% of the USA Gross National Product, as he said quote "before these shenangigans" (bailout) it was 50%, so we can assume now at least 75% of the GNP will be national debt.

A lot of folks seemed to be beelining to local malls this weekend to try for at lest new store credit; wonder why so many seemed to get declined today...after all, the bailout IS for people to get more loans and credit, right? It's not really just another reminder that the money supply really never does grow to match "economy all fixed!" bills, is it?

Oh, wait...if some line Doudou Diene's and some local critics' pockets too, the UN can up with rampant racism in America causing all economic and other troubles for everybody on earth...see, if say White McCain and Not-White Obama, e.g., agree on a trillion dollar sinkhole, what CAN be left then except to say even though neither can pay for a single promise, the economy's just getting going again until (fill-in-the-blank-or-blanks) happened(-s), and it was all caused by non-New Age clergy unconcerned about global warming, so insofar as an election, well...when a non-White or female signs on to the same malarkey as Whites and men, you can ONLY be "bitter" that a woman or a non-White got into the White House, and won't locking down the USA at-large and cutting communications media make it easier to find women-haters or racists on no evidence smack down all that yap about economics no politician sees a need to hear or consider?

Healthier World Religions Might Boost Odds Of Economic Recoveries.

Faith: worship or psychology? Can it help us out in any tangible ways, like world economics?

Over the ages, there have always been those who...for diverse personal reasons...mock the idea that life is not just a random cosmic accident, our laws of science in fact ruling out the possibility of any nature of so-called supernatural existence. Some today mock on grounds they're in the USA and want to test limits of free speech; others for diverse personal, financial, or political reasons.

A big current stratagem, worldwide, seems to be: "knock out the long-ago founders, knock out the religions and let brute human will be done without resistance". Resistance? Those who see peaceful devotions as some sort of Hogan's Heroes or A-Team surely don't understand basic faith in God.

For starters, when I say "God", I admit I'm a Christian; but "God" is my way of describing that Absolute which is capable of creating the first matter in a void, if not the void itself...and obviously capable of not being bound by our sciences, explanatory reductions, logic, and reason, yet intending lifeforms evolve where they have amid circumstances of their universe. Thus, God is the author of all that ever was, is, or ever could be. Why would it be bizarre for anyone to simply give thanks for the awe of the universe, natural earthly wonders, or existence?

Some concede as much, then protest: "but we're talking monkeys who grew a neocortex and God must want us to outwit each other in survival of the fittest". Okay, I'll not allude to Plato's "Phaedo" ( a discussion on the existence of the soul) or Thomas Aquinas' "Summa Theologica" (insofar as defining a soul), as such talks are opinions of the writers; I'll focus on but one set of scientific people shoring up that a soul exists and does better when seeking the Absolute's presence and universal order.

Back in the 1990's, a doctor by the name of Larry Dossey used to make the New York Times bestseller list with writing and independent scientific studies into the healing benefits of prayer. Dr. Dossey had been a chief of staff at Humana Medical in Dallas, an executive editor of 'Alternative Therapies", and a co-chair of the Panel on Mind/Body interventions, Office of Complementary and Alternative Medicine, National Institutes of Health. But a few of myriad clinical studies he cited were "Healing Research" in Munich, "The Faith Factor: An Annotated Bibliography Of Systematic Reviews and Clinical Research on Spiritual Subjects" by the National Institute for Healthcare Research, and Nobel physicist Brian Josephson of Cambridge University's Cavendish Laboratory, who suggested, as noted in "Biological Utilization of Quantum Nonlocality" as part of "Foundations of Physics 21", that prayer even from afar can have positive results. Sorry to ramble, but the public has a right to know where even THIS windbag gets his ideas from.

In his book "Prayer Is Good Medicine", Dr. Dossey said prayer shows no changes if engaged in by one over another religion, or sometimes even if one has no religion, the success rate improving merely by attempting to communicate with the Absolute. He also indicated that those who found a religion, which for them best attuned with the Absolute, had the highest degree of successful prayer outcomes...casually praying people giving chance results, those with religious regimens and focused sincerity gave fewer than four chances out of ten thousand that positive results could be chance...did I mention that's PEACEFUL religious participation? Lastly, Dossey's book lays out that prayer is as successful at global distances as it is at a bedside, you don't even need to know who you pray for personally, and no specific form of energy has ever been identified. If that isn't circumstantial support for the existence of spiritual souls asking their Creator for help as God may will it, what is? The neocortex isn't sending energy, and for nonlocal quantum physics to explain it would mean that two people would have had to at least once touched each other physically...which strangers haven't.

And some will still say: "so there's a Creator, there are souls, and only those souls in harmony with some God requiring goodwill between people seem to be attractive to the Absolute, but even if they help, religions can be abused so it's the right thing to regulate or eradicate them, especially since nobody can prove Christ or whoever in any faith existed or was Divinely inspired".

Well, again, even if taken as but traditions, obviously peaceful religious prayer has best empowerment through ANY such faith...traditional, new, or small...which for followers stands up to the tests of time for worship. God doesn't throw ANY sincere prayer away, just because you used this or that identifier or language; God obviously intends we do pray; and if He abided negative prayers He would not isolate terrorists and dangerous or misanthropic people FOR psychiatric recognition by making them do their horrible deeds of their own volition and acts...how can such people thus be deemed "agents of their God" if God doesn't hear them? We wouldn't prohibit alcohol because a gangster drank, or cut  hands off all people because some heinous act involved use of hands, so why act invidiously toward any peaceful religion because someone angry at God or mercenary against peace or His Absoluteness popped their own cork?

Lastly, some will devolve to saying: "well, the New Testament, at least, outlaws women as spreaders of the Gospel, and says civil union parties are cursed from God, so at least we've got a reason to be rid of Christians".

Well, I myself interpret 1 Romans:18-32 to not mean anything against certain people BORN a certain away; the context you get depends on whether you read a choppy passage line by line, or as an idea through its whole. To my reading, a group of subject people first turned to idols with specific intent to mock God, then undertook gossip, murder, debauchery, all sorts of incredibly objectivist things, including with hope that turning to their own genders would further enhance their own rebellion to the Absolute...sort of "how can we make EVERYTHING imaginable run counter-clockwise and prove man is at least as mighty as God?". To me it seems God simply chose to not even be available to them anymore and in such fashion they eventually fell apart. I do not push others to agree, especially since some would have the State begin a slippery slope of legislating for religious conduct due to non aggressive interpretation of a Bible ambiguity.

Likewise, my own opinion of the Samaritan woman in John 4:39-42 is that she is presented as a missionary, described in literally the same way as the Disciples, so no absolute bar to women as ministers seems to be in the faith tradition; at the same time, at 16 Romans:1-2, Phoebe is directly said to be a "diaknos", a minister of uncertain function in the early Church; again, I don't require others to accept my view of this ambiguity of a New Testament tradition.

To sum up, to be in God's corner the only "resistance" one puts up is to doing inconsiderate things; a universal Creator exists; bona fide ambiguity is not a reason to have the State legislate religiosity; a few bad apples aren't cause to dissolve religions or anything else apples roll to; we have souls which flourish in God, fellowship, and prayer; and as long as that's a faith's point, no psychology for or against anything or anyone of this world is required.

Failure-Prone MORTGAGES To Back Senate Bailout Sent To House?

Amongst those who have not just said "what we need is any old bill" are people like Ross Perot, who at http://perotcharts.com/ et sequitor articulates what...left only with the current and prior bailouts as choices...seems to be an effective option which would cost people a lot less; I recall we do all have to live off a very tightly controlled and statistically small money supply, and we all know credit will be the answer just like it was with every other "bailout" and "economic stimulus" based on "future refunds".

Most notably, Mr. Perot makes the keen point that essentially mortgages, already proven to be the largess of recurring "little guy" failures usually due to lack of sufficient income opportunities as "refi is BETTER than equity, credit cards better than jobs or good pay" becomes the norm, will provide the rock-solid payback...um, isn't the LACK of anybody paying on such things what CAUSES every modern financial crisis?

Perhaps...if "all we need is ANY bill"...someone could explain why only bills say giving $180 billion now to Hollywood producers and otherwise lining non-general circulation/investment pockets will be considered; makes it sound like the intent is if any money will make it to some lucky little guy here or there, it will be on elastic from one expanding an orthodoxy fiefdom, like the reward to media for producing only things which "back up" people in the West are slutty, meth-running, cursing Dexter mongers without a shred of Godly decency (or whatever invidious fingerpointings will be required ala Goebbels, Baghdad Bob, Leni Riefenstahl, et al)...and for failing to produce a thing which tells THEIR life stories, or has cameras pan across the actual country (as opposed to manipulable online virtual earth) to otherwise show how media hype and politics match up to everyday life.

Of course, Congress and the White Hosue can say their only jobs are to send money to States and Towns as it's left over, but other than salaries for officials, how much CAN be left over? Perhaps McCain, Obama, Palin, and Biden will give us their own charts and graphs telling us how the "must-have" bill isn't Bush's Third Term, and how it take care of all without price increases or further job or salary cuts anywhere at all, plus increase trade between us and nations overseas.

I ask as "shaddup, ixnay! It'll woik dis time, youse guys! Oooh...I AM cuter'n McCain, huh?" seems non-confidence inspiring as media cropping and expansion of State/local eminent domain and say-so martial powers...against no particular enemy(ies)...loom.

Cheer Obama If He Can Pay Both Bailout And Promises At No Loss To Us!

I really don't hear anything promised by "troll-like" John McCain or Gov. Palin that sounds like something most Americans and those living abroad wouldn't dearly love to see come to pass; in fact, I myself applauded every single thing "genial" Barack Obama was shown in USA media passionately exhorting: world class education for every single child, world class healthcare, and a laundry list of jobs that will be available upon passage of the bailout, assumedly without new job losses elsewhere and without pay or public or private budget cuts. I understand that per media just because Obama orated thusly, Wall Street and in fact a clear majority of everyday people (except pockets of bitter racists who can't stand to see a non-white President) instantly converted to thirst for the trillion dollar bailout, as-is.

The problem is, even Obama and McCain opposed the same trillion dollars under the same "golden parachutes to private parties" once proposed by Bush a few years ago, only then pled for on grounds there was a social security crisis and the same cash to the same parties was needed just to save Social Security alone...separate from other political issues and the general economy, and opponents like Obama and McCain said it would devastate homeowners, education, healthcare, jobs and wages.

Again, like any sane person on earth, I would hope my country WOULD actually act like its good-intentioned politicians have promised. But I just continue to not understand how taking the same bill as Bush proposed, retitling it "economic recovery bailout", and ignoring that it puts every dollar in the money supply manifestly into the hands of government salaries and a relatively few elite private parties is not either going to leave promises unpaid or paid for with more debt there's no money without cuts to repay...also, domestic DHS (at a time interest in foreign-born terrorism fighting is waning while Muslims aren't the expected next immigrants) being part of Federal and cloned State infrastructure, perhaps Obama might better describe what he means about "lots of jobs in infrastructure" once he's installed...if he meant roads or sewers or bridges, you'd think he could mention it and at the same moment have a plan outlined with costs.

I as a Conservative of course lean toward McCain, but if Obama can clearly opine and stipulate exactly how the bailout won't negatively affect everyday people everywhere, I'll earnestly consider voting for him if McCain can't THEN do better. Otherwise, it would seem that no matter who wins, they're going to be the same "Bush third term" re policies Howard Dean up to now has only been accusing McCain and GOP of being.

One withholds, in the pendency, presuming such trillion dollars HAS been done such way years ago, and all things have just been a game of chess to ensure its permanence until "retroactive" enabling laws could be secured and "infrastructure" made quicker and more modularly flexible...with it seeming most folks in America are now atheists and suspicious of why clergy want to visit those in jails or hospitals (per extant Federal law).

Hopefully Fair Questions For Bipartisans Re Trillion Dollar Bailout.

This is not an opinion, it is respectfully submitted as two questions to all USA officials of any level everywhere.

I am a lifelong Republican in the sense as that party was at the time of Teddy Roosevelt; I am also a lifelong Conservative not in some "fundamentalist" sense(s), but in the ways writers as Hayek and William Frank Buckley, Jr. (Yale as well as Skull & Bones alum) were; yes, I am familiar with topics also such as Hannah Arendt was known for addressing, and have always supported our human intelligence, legal and police systems in such regard...nothing in me has changed.

Now, the current Dow Jones Industrial Index, full of steel and auto makers and such when I was born 48 years ago, is presently said to be made up of the most major stocks, not even whole industries anymore; drug companies, big-box Walmart, Bank of America, McDonalds, and computer and phone stocks dominate the index.

As even FOX this morning reported, 90% of everyone in the USA despite demographics is against the current bailout; although even President Bush tells us everyone with retirement plans, IRAs, and portfolios will suffer unless any old bill is quickly passed, egregious parts taken out later (as was said when the 2003 Medicare reform passed in middle of the night), there must not be that many Americans of any stripe or persuasion who would find themselves in such class.

Whether or not they do, there also appears to be a pattern amid these successive "quick fix" packages of the past few years: first on terror or whatever grounds, Federal and/or local government(s) demand lower evidence standards on this or that, in Illinois et al currently on ANY offense period, so that triple hearsay would even be "conviction grade proof"; next or instead, such government(s) demand a little more police power of say-so grade; all of a sudden, whoosh...first Enron, then WorldComm, all fixed, only a third or less of "anecdotal pockets" losing out, "remaindermen, we're fine, we're fine...now cha-ching our own and Wall Street grade perks and packages in further proof of success"; then a little more standard lowering, some more BRAC and recruitment center closings notwithstanding comparatively cheap ads for recruits as both parties say today's folks are lilly-livered anyway, a little more "what can we do but bring oppressed foreigners here and leave their bad guys in power without preconditions"; another financial crisis, another quick fix with huge payouts to a very few and official salaries and perks again kited to "prove strength" against no more than 50% or so of anecdotals, who can presume if they run each other off things will improve; then some more standard lowering, more say-so powers like HR 1955 for nationals and 287g for immigrants, another financial crisis, and presently if executives and officials stabilize their own high-maintenance or not, "only" 90% of people would be anecdotal and if we overlook them the rest of us will be fine, just fine, this time for sure.

All along, business space and jobs and arts and creditworthiness seem to manifestly evaporate, with only more and more cheaply made housing and commercial facade/interior lofts sprouting constantly, and at a rate actually less in individual units than smaller housing and apartment units comprised in more industrial times; at first, it's said immigrants need this or that accommodation, compassion, whatever, and those who were here regardless of demographics can move away or into a continuum of mental health, homelessness shelter, or wherever...and actually, see how taking care of the ever-growing pile of losers (often tended to by this or that clergy) is souring it for the rest of us? Yes, even if that number hits 90%, we've turned the corner, and we're not going back.

Because of this confusion as just to when and how yet another bailout to a few, more housing starts, and credit to new parties only will prolong anybody's employment without further salary cuts in re a service economy dependent on an ever-more "exclusive" and shrinking pools of purchase-capable customers, I respectfully ask candidates and officials of all layers of USA government: How will the bailout increase the business of small or any businesses, and how will it put people to work or better-paying work, and not just stall yet another super-financial crisis until after the February 2009 criminalization of shortwave and any other broadcast media, together with anticipated ability of things like YouTube to block USA data as it does for China?

Second and lastly, how will it also concurrently begin mending financial woes of everyday people in those lands to which much of USA campaigns and media are actually directed?

Global Puppeteers Pulling Strings Of Global Faux Atheism, Religions, Racism, Xenophobia.

I said I wouldn't post any new subjects, and I'm not, just making an addendum to the last few expressions of mine.

Per the first Presidential debate, it stood out that essentially Obama would treat Muslim aggressors without pre-conditions at any time for as long as it takes to stop terror worldwide from occurring even against other Muslims; McCain essentially conveyed no opinion on Islamic leadership but represented a strong fist will crush ANY nation striking out at the USA. Perhaps both campaigns forgot Doudou Diene and the UN anti-Islam defamation proposal, perhaps they didn't.

Now, a number of Muslim leaders, apologies to Monsiuer Diene, installed or inherited Islam as a STATE religion further with mandamus from such leaders...elected or otherwise...that THEY and successors are supreme in their lands...atheism, plurality, and such are death sentences, and like an old Soviet Kommissar asking "who (chik-chik) DOESN'T want to be in Communist Party, Comrades?", Muslims in such lands have no say or choice...indeed, who opinion-polls THEM in those lands on anything? And that most Muslims aren't fans of that theocracy is evident from how many "tunnel out" to Europe and elsewhere, ala Latin Americans tunnelling to El Norte to escape dictators and bad economic managers.

Western leaders for the most part either encourage or passively tolerate that because "a Muslim leader" of such State has wrapped his age-old secular power trip in the cloak of religion, all signs of Christianity...even Stoic good works...must be obliterated so as not to nationalistically, racially, or otherwise "offend the leader of ALL Muslims"...oddly enough, yes, even when say Muslim Bashir, an African, uses Islamic Janjaweed to kill in Darfur or the Taliban or whoever elsewhere; look how everyone bowed to Mushareff on such grounds, Pakistan created by partition out of India about sixty years ago and a STATE Muslim nation...yep, EVERY Pakisatani LOVED him and a number of his predecessors, and he probably stepped down recently due to old age. And to think, like MyMood Alibabajihad in Iran, he used Islam to claim Hindu-popular India was racist to Pakistanis and should...um...give him money and power to use as sees fit as a respected fatwa issuer against "uppity" Muslims in his land. Yep, that's even the long-ago 1999 origin of the "anti defamation of Islam" Mushareef launched; as if Doudou Diene isn't confusing enough as to how Islam is a "race" what with Asiatic, Middle Eastern, and African peoples its largest followers.

So McCain sounds better re the predictable "bomb you if you hit us", but that doesn't contain much address of why Obama is full of hooey that the West won't "gain respect of everyday Muslims" unless we let Muslim Bashirs and Ladens alone to do as they please even to other Muslims, and unless we rid the USA of any need to do reasonably right things under conscience and in fact laws (so we don't look Judeo-Christian or something). Like a MyMood wrapping his power trip in religion or anything else not necessary for it, some even in the USA sound like they're merely availing of irrelevant cloaks to get to do things the same way.

Through no "fault" of my own, I was born into the Christian faith via Roman Catholic parents. To my readings, Christ seemed to mean that all mankind from highest through lowest must bear anything, as He did, in doing the right things according to the Ten Commandments and His teachings, no matter how else they lead lives, and do so with humility not anger; for the life of me, I confess I can find no Christian or other Divine faith ab initio teachings which separate leaders from little guys re the need to not simply impose power over others because it's easy, yet many Western neo-evangelicals and even some traditional clergy, perhaps due to over-dependence on government for funding, existence, or both, seem to embrace "let dictators dictate and be God's appointed rulers".

McCain seems to infer Muslims all hate us irredeemably, why bother leaders unless they whack us; Obama seems to infer even Janjaweed in Darfur will stop if he's elected, a boast made upon stilted explanation of how many State-run religions operate; McCain has the better of two thin premises on that issue, but seemed to go about it in a way not challenging Obama's perception of underlying facts re State-run faiths including Islam and dictatorships hiding amid same. Maybe that's why local Comcast cable channel 53, CLTV, reported today Daley is getting millions to build MORE houses in place of Wamu branches Chase is closing in takeover, and Daley generally expects more immigration no matter who wins what where when or state of the national economy.

Maybe Debate, Each Submit Public Plans Into Senate At Same Time?

McCain says he need to be personally off the debate trail until the $700 billion issue is decided; PFAW says it's got a petition now going to force debate venues to let Obama consume ALL time for his speechifying if McCain doesn't appear.

What bastions of the people and their interest are our candidates! So super-duper are they, they and their political hench-organizations and media tell us what THEY will do, and why we MUST buy it...that's a modern constant, anywhere, anytime. We, the no-trail button pushers, then are told why we're HR 1955/287g-type anecdotal miscreants if we don't obey one side otherwise itself doing nothing, and are told further all things that side will be done when no-trails are counted, while the opponent retreats...gosh, after all, Obama might have started "Great Depression" talk, but last night Curic accused it of being false and PALIN of starting it to grandstand, so aw phooey...might as well lay down, the overseas applause of Obama are too great to ignore...start tearing down all Churches, Mosques, Temples, Synogogues, build more cheaply made high-priced housing, sweep up anecdotals, you know the drill...sigh, if only a veteran were twenty years younger, I guess.

Unless there's another reason(s) neither Obama nor McCain could, say, just prepare draft legislation for public and Committee or instant full Senate votes, call in their votes like Senator Kerry does all the time from Davos, and just move on. But no, McCain's to be "afraid" of debates if stuck in the Senate, he tried, what can we do; Obama will smile and coo and crow about audacities, and say even though disapproved by 11%-22% of USA residents, McCain no-shows are grounds for "default judgment for Obama" and all UN and European Union Parliament Protocols, religious and otherwise, including calling Bashir and Laden types "victims of racism re complaints on their conduct", will ever-after be heartily and swiftly implemented in the Western Hemisphere.

You know, I myself don't even care; if the Electoral College, appointed by Legislatures without 1789 to date intent POPULAR VOTES EVER ELECT ANY PRESIDENT OR CONTROL SELECTION THEREOF, puts in Obama, well, would they then need any "help" showing that their "change" is give European Union and the UN whatever they want? And if the Electoral College puts in McCain, that will all still happen, but not at the Federal level...but them dang pesky States and Towns with States Rights and homerule; dadgummit, tehm varmints here an' there is a-goin' ta do it in their own turfs...leastwise as BRAC and recruitment closures get finished, we kin tell ferreners abroad that see, McCain is Bush' third term, Democrats are creatin' oppertoonitees fer ferreners like before see, but if'n y'all wanna pull sumthin, unless you're China or Russia who'd get a McCain-Pentagon reply, as long as yer nobodies gettin' uppity, hey, blow up our folks, 'cuz even ifn' ya do YOU get houses and such, THEY get the say-so disposals for provokin' ya.

There being nothing else I can imagine myself needing to say about this general election, I thank Townhall for just over a year's worth of ability to note my opinions and takes on sets of data. At this time, with a death in my family and another with heart problems, I'm taking the rest of the season off from Townhall.
