If one is reflecting upon the year and recent times this Holiday season, they may breathe a sigh of relief that once again, Providence has gotten them through yet another huge round of foreclosures, layoffs, closures, and so on.

Per a recent Chinese newspaper account, the Chinese government says it’s not investing in the USA, and that most countries on earth won’t be either…not because of LBGT treatment, health care, global warming, religion, racism, nationalism(s), and the slew of wedge issues, just because global governments have no money and don’t care (http://www.shanghaidaily.com/article/print.asp?id=423054 ).

In the USA, it’s said that unemployment will expand to pay China et al, but the relevant story says not much about China being concerned about or expecting or receiving returns anyway.

In these times, it’s worth remembering that the needy, foreclosed, jobless, and people on any kind of benefits always “know what they’re doing, and are irresponsible”. Something to think about, as all 2010 election and media wedge baloney will take place against he financial picture China just painted.

There’s a philosophy beginning to take root in some global political realms such that many officials are, although never before thought so in their lives or those of their forebears, as or in the nature of new life forms…much as homo habilis (wherever distributed with whatever looks)was superior to cro magnon, homo sapiens (wherever distributed with whatever looks)was superior to homo habilis, it appears that we have a new human species in our midst, one which doesn’t claim to Godhood yet is in every way superior in mind to most people while continuing to otherwise appear the same as others…this new species is homo officialianis.

According to the latest emerging modernist doctrine, this new human creature is part of a global upgrade in evolution; in fact, some, as actor Wil Smith recently noted, receive Nobel Prizes for work done in recognizing their efforts on behalf of their “breed apart” yet noble stewardship of less fortunate creatures; this new breed of human is so new it goes only by the name “flashpoints of human evolution”.

Through tight reigning of monocultural global populations, these “flashpointers”…being of a higher mental evolution than all other talking monkeys…rightly leave in the dust all law, traditions, systems of knowledge, commerce, you name it, where same are rooted in “the best the minds of lesser evolutionary value could contrive”. To them, God (let alone diverse spiritualities in response thereto) is a hoodoo, something the smaller-brained types (including, e.g., Bing Crosby, William F. Buckley Jr., William P. Clark, Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King, Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, founders of Yale and Harvard) clung to as a mere device of political differences of opinion, as if to elevate themselves as man-gods over other talking monkeys like Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, you get the picture; also, religion being but just one sign of “retrograde” intellect, many tiny-brains used to think they could survive Depressions together, and yet individually have dignity, worth, and almost limited capability to invent, dream, and achieve healthy international relationships…in the old days BFE, what COULD all-equal talking monkeys do but presume some God or whatever was over them, they being the highest form of life on earth, and respect each other as best they could?

With the advent of “flashpointers”, from China to the USA to Canada to Latin America and literally everywhere, no more talk of Calvinist ‘separation of wheat and chaff’ or Raptures or Fourth Reichs or re-institutions of royalty; if a “flashpointer” is a new and irrevocable next stepper in human evolution, obviously anyone not regarded by “flashpointers”, their media, or necessary private/public epigone as “evolved” must by such standard be deemed sub-human…see, only new models survived in the ancient past, right? So naturally, global “flashpointers” know best how to make it seem this or that “spiritual superstition”, LBGT community, racial group, Ladenists, or otherwise needs to be warehoused with situational treatments then no better than any other sub-humans receive(and “throwback reproduction” limited), as the mass of now-sub-humans  breathe their last making way for evolutionary progress.

Now, “flashpointers” have no idea where the first-of-first universes came from; goodness, they can’t even produce jobs or balance a budget, and many (not all) were formerly (?) the most party-animal, duty-shirking creampuff punks there ever were (though “egotism” is common to them). To be fair, everyone from Barack Obama to Hu Jintao to Vladimir Putin to Chavez to Lula and so on seems content not to claim THEMSELVES as “flashpoints of human evolution”, at best, if at all, letting such talk OF them fly without direct denials; too, maybe it’s coincidence that only “flashpointers” and those they hold tight reign on or bail out in ever-worsening economies are the only ones who can be aware of themselves, and ala apostolic succession theory pass that on in dubbing (from the vast pool of retrogrades)who should not be called sub-human and allowed to play with the New Breed…unless “distemper” is discovered later and some brutes one day are no longer warm and fuzzy.        

Only those believing in current ongoing human mental-only “flashpoints of evolution” can explain in depth how this separates them from all other life and its history, or why they express no greater knowledge than anyone has done over and over…and without miracles and such to boot. Heavens, no official or admirer thereof on earth has yet figured out how to make one tiny drop of new water…we’re STILL using the same water here for eons, and if “we dummies” could build nukes and go to space, why can’t the new ubermenschen wave greater wands than ours? 

The here foregoing is not a religious reaction nor is of essence political; it is philosophical counterpoint in rebuttal to an existentialist, Ayn Rand/Adolf Hitler form of eugenics propaganda that ANY person or official on earth could embrace or reject.

Myself, I remain happy knowing my own alleged “advanced intellect” is utterly useless…nonquam…if I use it only for myself/epigone, and will earn me bitter judgment of God if I don’t try to use my gifts in building up ALL souls on the globe in positive, civil, traditional human ways…and encouraging our fellowship in such pursuits.

I hope this makes clear what I mean to all people of every stripe when I continue to say and wish from the essence of my soul: “Merry Christmas! Peace And Goodwill To All!”

Goebbels said that propaganda does not have to be intelligent, it just has to succeed; he otherwise knew propaganda to be that which facilitates the triumph of personal leaders’ will.

By “not intelligent”, sure, thugs with rubber hoses on posters saying “do it or else” would be propaganda; but most usually, unintelligent propaganda means that stagecraft/cinema/media event which is either grounded in no evidence that should be there (opinions only made), or ignores data which tends to negative what the pomp and circumstance/talking head opinions blurt about.

A rhetorical example: say a State, the SWAs of which are part of a Federal unemployment system, aks its regulated professions to make outrageous enticements to pull in people (formerly with good wages, but now in foreclosure, stamps, etc) on UI extensions with no real experience; next, say regulators know a charade of completing necessary initial licensing/registration forms and ephemera will be included but nobody will have employers submit (contrary to apparent law); then, say as “newbs” such new hires are run ragged or otherwise made to leave the new jobs; next, maybe many such employers don’t pay for training “made pursuant to law” on applications they know they won’t submit, nor pay for first work done; last, say the State’s SWA ends UI for all such people as they”quit”, otherwise refuses to pursue wage claims for them, and regulated agencies back up that mindnumbingly even by the tons no such people “did regulated work” so no ticks to employers; now say as a result UI claim figures go down, and some official(s)prance around saying how messianic they must be just to have a low figure and be thus improving lives, “need we say more?”. This example would be “unintelligent”, as the officials’ claims would be based on an absence and further contradiction of certain facts.

This Holiday Season, as if most people had social phobia (http://www.socialphobia.org/whatis.html )and would rather go to a movie than talk to a passerby, work, or go to a house of worship, let’s consider what getting behind Obama’s call for atonement and joining in could mean for global prosperity.

President Obama has this year represented that his critics should just shut up and let things lie and expand as they are; you know, he may be right!

Yes, there are a slew of critics ranging from his own party to secular to religious objectors, but does anybody notice that they’re all running out of money, as those they claim support them (at least in petitioning or opinion polling style) also run out of cash, credit, and aid? Most importantly, does anyone notice that most people just want whatever degree of consumerism is meted to them until it’s “their time”, without thought of or to anyone else and without real expectation the New Culture will change or fail to touch them? So it goes in Illinois, Tennessee, Oregon, Idaho, name it.  

It’s as if most USA folks of every origin collectively say: “Yep, it’s global totalism now, what from money to anything else is out there FOR us to do besides peck at each other, watch sports, and go to movies until it’s our turn to go? They’ve taken global rights, personal economic control, creative aspirations, property upon which to build or retain houses of worship (indicating a non-existent, dead or weakling Creator) and need for ambition or even exercise away from most of us…even foreign dictators have always needed someone to dictate TO, let’s stick with the statism, the sports/celebrity/talk radio fan as the only group dynamics left to us, and maybe they’ll take more people ahead instead of us…yeah, it’s crummy to be a kept State hamster if a pollster asks but really, do most of us even seem capable of taking time away from our sports, movies and managed consumerism except for ‘tea bag moments’ and election year blogging?”.

If that or something close to it IS the reality of the majority population, then President Barack Hussein Obama is absolutely correct that most people don’t WANT to be educated, work, create businesses, get married or care who is, otherwise be equity parts of society, or have liberties protected…in such case, don’t blame atheists, Hu Jintao, Osama bin Laden, Democrats, Republicans, Putin, Satan, God, whoever; in a democratic Republic, where the majority of people do not care what needs to be done even to them or their children to permanently simply exist (and no more), and have a pattern of being self-absorbed armchair quarterbacks letting everyone else fix everything even back in “better times”, then even if critics of the government make scholastically lucid, legally sound, and generally accurate gainsays or constructive alternative plans these are NOT things the majority public wants…and though it’s extreme to label critics generally as DHS report fodder, still, critics need to see Obama IS giving the mass population what it wants as it manifestly partakes of handouts with minimal grousing, sort of the way one feeds a cat and might get hissed anyway yet the cat submissively returns for more.

Indeed, it appears Obama critics need to face the reality that they ARE “revolutionary” in nature, where they transcend ministering to shrinking numbers at all interested in hearing about peaceful alternative life philosophies or religious living; Obama critics need to accept that most people today would rather re-arrange their aimless day to see the OSU Ducks vs. U of O Beavers “civil war” football game than help or even talk to a stranger, or than picket the State capitol for jobs 24/7/365 (in a State with massive unemployment, more coming). Now THAT’s putting the body where the soul truly is, all such gamesters’ faint mewing notwithstanding as they freely act in the nature of trotting next to their keepers hoping for more scraps…Trent Lott’s book title was too limited, as it seems “Herding Cats” is not just for the Senate Leadership anymore.

Wherefore, the spirit of Jesus through Gandhi through Dr. King is manifestly kaput in today’s USA, and thus it might be nice if PACs and Churches/Similar limit talking to their own choirs…we must stop the “concept revolution” against ideologies the manifest USA population wishes to tolerate. To keep face with the Hegelian notion that ANY system (including secular) which does not admit of unbelief is a mere convenience, I would respectfully submit that hermeneutic peaceful religions and ministers respecting the USA State as giving the majority population what it wants (including LBGT marriage, less labor, CCA and other imprisonment for distempers, military escalations, aid to Ladenist nations, abortion, and actual or perceived moral relativity) should not be included as being “false religious” or barred from assembly/expression due to their own opposite views, and that their admittedly minority actual adherents be able to object and withhold their service(s) on conscience grounds where enough secular or other parties in simpatico with the majority are easily available.

Folks, those of us who want to resist intellectual or ethically rhetorical “evil” today can do it but one way, if you’ll take a sober look at reality: if you see it, don’t do it yourselves; if you give money to a PAC or Church, expect it will sustain the choir alone at best; if you’re going to “make” an unbeliever(s) hear you, no matter how “compelling”, even Thomas Aquinas would tell you harming unbelievers is against the will of Jesus and God (“Summa Theologica”, Volume Two, Part Two, Question 10, Articles 1 through 12) unless they force themselves upon you in your physical person (actual personal attack, only force enough to stop it kosher)…and secularly, even I would detain the true armed, egocentric and dangerous.

After all, in this economy at a time of sluggish Christmas sales and rising domestic abuse, who packs in more of those attendees and viewers: Lou Dobbs, the RNC/DNC, some union, any nature of any faith’s Church/Mosque/Temple/House of Worship, or Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon for the OSU v. U of O “civil war” game? (Hint: Statewide here today, ala those 1936 Mercedes touring cars back in Germany’s Dolf Days, all you see are fender flags for either the Oregon State or University of Oregon football teams.) Fans, if you feel a bit the same the next morning, please don’t vent on others or officials; and again, even I would detain the socially lazy, egocentric and dangerous.

In many halls of learning these days, it is taught that political theory of our age “requires” that candidates maintain control of “their” campaigns (to be YOUR representatives) via artificial or secondary or lesser issues vaunted as complete and exclusive proposed packages; one hears it’s coincidental when, ala CNN’s Lou Dobbs over time, reports of USA no-trail voting casting pre-programmed outcomes are proven but almost always conceded to by losers (especially in primaries where substantial prospects for nominees and often having massive opinion poll approvals ALWAYS get stomped by airy types succeeding themselves).

When that theory of issue selection by candidates-turned-officeholders becomes part of policy in any jurisdiction, obviously one sees how then such officials see the slightest whiff of interest in ANY other topic(s) betokens upset or “brutish self-interest” over public policy, thus such officials declare that since bin Laden hates policies (as well as everything under the sun) parallel inference says anyone not holding their tongues is “of interest”.

Ask any official or bailed-out-by-officials media (which could be ANYONE)or in the NICC mix of public/private “image coordination” what the official “standard” of campaign and criticism level issues has been ordained, and from Obama through FOX to your town hall, it’ll sound pretty much like all non-suspicious folks want out of life…even if stripped of all else to get it…is: pandering to paranoia everyone out there is going to abuse/kill them and/or their children; nationalistic racists of assorted races and recent foreign origins are conspiring together to make Obama look bad in saying more mass immigration just provides jobs through health care for people living in huts/mud, so enact more mass immigration to solve ALL problems; and other than this, please make sure no one’s breasts fall off, that nobody gets a flu, and that every woman or man through a woman can abort any child at any pre- or post-birth stage if inconvenient…we’re so green conscious, apart from this, we’d seek no job/own interest just to know we could live on food stamps and handouts ever-after while money remains an entitlement of privilege and office holders, as we know sacrifices must be made for the only thing REAL freedom-lovers/religious want. 

Now, let’s say you’re a person from any nation who knows that USA jobless if decorous New Urbanism is just the term our elites give to what most urbane global folks know as “global monoculture”…i.e., what you see in the USA is what you would see if you went to any African nation, China, Latin America (even Mexico!), Russia, you name it, and the value of local currency not seeming tethered to human stagnation. Further, let’s say you thus knew pretty much, elsewhere global monoculture favors young and under-educated adults, most of whom get by through sleeping with as many of each other as they can, trolling every night club and worse there is and often amid “easy credit” and gambling as they scramble to keep their homes and use anyone to “make it”…the usual result by 30 being “oh, oh, spaghettio!”, and all the nastiness USA “life losers” get. Most importantly, say you knew that most foreign people, like USA people, AREN’T what their government “favors” by handout/bailout/buyoff.

If you know such things, man, you’re as apt to run afoul of media shrews and officials’ scolds as the men/women who think it’s great to be healthy, but how do you live if otherwise you have zero connection to equity in society, national currency, or both. These things go to human rights, in any event being things which just aren’t of interest to official USA policy at Federal, State, or Local levels; where any DO claim interest, they always point to “feed the children” infomercials around for decades, saying all children and parents in Africa and Latin America live in huts and starve as tribal types…no updates to the Lincoln-Mercury dealers in Chad, the New Urbanity of South Africa through Zimbabwe, dittoes in Mexico/Venezuela/Peru/Columbia, you get the picture. Take a look at Monterrey in Mexico, for example, or the dish tv Latin program “Sexo Urbano” geared to Latin nations, and tell me I’m goofy.

So as long as it appears campaigns, official legislations/budgets, and officeholders will not consider issues other than their own, and all partisan blogs/media/people try only to jockey for slimming bucks by giving arty quips pro/con insubstantial issues, could they stop blaming anyone but themselves for statism?

I mean, in a monocultural world, every leader is really singing the same song; no, most people aren’t bin Laden or stalkers; really, Western Christians don’t have to “know their place” on human rights and such as there’s no fill-in-the-blank mass religion(s) ready to pounce on them, nor vice versa re Christians, just cult-like extremists usually finding this and that IMF funding; no, there’s no “surrender” where every leader is a co-captain of monoculturalism, where leaders from Libya to Syria to Pakistan and the West emulate or accomodate each other’s protocols on official-citizenry separations regardless of inanity ; and I for one am at a loss to determine how a USA citizen querying what nationals and immigrants alike will do for a living, once they’re all healthy and uber-protected from abroad and in everyday life, is akin to sedition, revolution, terrorism, or wing-nut anecdotal pocket designation.

You’d think what with gold being over $1,000 an ounce, the Euro being worth at least twice as much as the USA dollar (the IMF world standard, mind you), kiting of every kind of tax there is, pay cuts, and so on, there’d be no way a slacker could possibly get their mitts on easy Federal money what with the newest unemployment insurance extension, right?

Whoops! Nope, and by slackers I don’t mean the megaton of folks who, they say, “miss hearings”, “don’t co-operate with investigators”, and such; to me, a slacker is someone largely disinterested in participating in society at-large as most of us know it. Of course, high taxes and job losses and pay cuts to eke out livings while the USA gives hundreds of billions to Laden coddlers denotes payoff to only a rarified type of slacker, because in a standards-rejecting mindset, Laden is just doing what’s “his way”…the only similarity with slackers whom are relevant. Hey religion-free positivists: such “this way/that way” itself is a standard, you know, just not one making logical or exact physical scientific sense.

Bear with me: what may sound like a spat actually offers germane data from personal observation and comparative experience.

Just yesterday, my brother-in-law received a letter from the Oregon Employment Department, telling him he’s eligible for about $500 PER WEEK in unemployment insurance for not less than the next six months (and they’ll obviously believe his “tried to find work hard but couldn’t” say-so certifications each week), off the only real job he had recently…which ended YEARS ago! Now, in between, for HIM, Oregon deigned to give him alone as much in food stamps per month as the average married couple sans dependents EARNING less would get together (maybe because he is obese?); this would continue during any new UI; Oregon also gave him stipend unemployment yearly off two to three months per Summer closed-shop cannery work even though it’s temp seasonal by nature (gone are the days of the 1990 Census, when GW Bush said scum like me weren’t eligible for UI given its temporary nature of six months to two years…and I was an EDP super in an Oregon office!).

I know oh so many people don’t have the easy luck with unemployment, 911-based TEUC forward, that folks like my brother- and sister-in-law do; their secret? These two have some of the most unusual personality quirks well of Oregon record. No, not disability, not diminished mental capacity…adult life-long drug/alcohol habituation (he at 55 and she at 42), and a penchant for avoiding public interactions, living in mounds of trash and filth, sob-storying family/neighbors/et al for cash and lack of re-payments, and being somewhat violent. 

The only jobs my sister-in-law has had in the last decade are those involved with “community service” and crime-to-work schemes; once she “earns” expungement of even felony raps, she quits; she then goes back to forgery, beating, blackmailing, you name it…and see, as she’s a regurgitator, all is wiped away by Oregon authorities (don’t let her near any real weapons folks…who knows WHAT she’s allowed to do simply as like Laden it’s just “her way”). Police, local Church goers, and neighbors will smash down any family’s doors wanting to know why my wife and I won’t support “the poor thing” who does as she pleases without fear of law, should she take notion to “bleed” us in dry spells. She’s violently attacked so many over the years, maybe like Obama with Laden many have craven admiration for her. But SHE gets whatever Oregon aid is out there, and wouldn’t you know she too never “misses” important interviews (usually as same of her are never required or penalized)?

My brother-in-law is equally “erstwhile”. My mother-in-law died at age 78 last year of acute renal failure; want to know the state of affairs not long before her death? B-I-L was living as he does now in the basement; S-I-L came up and so viciously beat M-I-L with hands and objects for failure to give her money (while B-I-L just listened) that M-I-L had to go hospital for stitches/checkout, and get restraining order against S-I-L; police later ignored all this and found not even technical elder abuse going on. At the same time, B-I-L “looked for work” amid toking pot, snorting blow, and drinking either downstairs or at his friend’s house just a few doors over the hill…S-I-L has longtime AA crowd types bringing her 100 proof Vodka in innumerable plastic bottles meantime. M-I-L dies months later, “kids” go on as usual, Mom is to this day still in the box the unpaid crematory sent her ashes back in; May 2009 (nine months post M-I-L death) my wife and I first relevantly arrive in Oregon to help clean/landscape estate trying to sell the house on reverse mortgage now in foreclosure; S-I-L takes off to Portland, B-I-L does nothing to help re house/grounds, my wife and I clean junk pit and tame dazzlingly over-grown grounds, the other two say they resent me and tolerate me only because of my wife’s one-third interest (in dust, it seems).

B-I-L likes to fall back on his triple bypass a few years ago, but again, he won’t even apply for disability, won’t get cheap FireMed insurance re health, won’t stop smoking/toking/drinking/eating opulently; when he wants to check his fireplace chimney, he lopes easily on his own onto the roof; when getting satellite TV, he easily lopes onto the roof again and does wiring work the system rep should be doing! Then, apart from a 10 week stint at the cannery this summer, he spends almost all of his time alone in the basement or his nearby friend’s house.

Contrast these two with say ME. I have no real or expunged record(s) of any nature(s); I will be 50 in two months; I have always cared about not just appearing to be but being a productive citizen and good neighbor; let’s see what Oregon thinks. Well, in August, a Salem security outfit had an OED ad promising all sorts of pay, training, hours, and requirement of DPSST license; I responded, was given copies of DPSST docs, card-printed, assigned to work, asked then to work armed on non-armed app, refused, was fired, turned in everything; DPSST says no app ever submitted by employer for me, so I must not engage in security work in Oregon, but employer commits no fouls by false advertising of jobs or conduct thereafter. Since the emp didn’t pay for training time or anywhere near hourly rate, for same I filed wage claim with Oregon BOLI; they tell me I’ll pend forever because in undisclosed nature they allege I “won’t cooperate with BOLI investigators”. Oddly, six weeks ago a Vancouver/Portland lawyer via USPS sent me an ad for representation offer based on obtaining my name from a public BOLI claimant list; but when offering contract he said if respondent in Court raise ANY defense he quits and socks fees to me; I asked first how wage assignment in toto to BOLI Commissioner (routine) in unsettled BOLI action isn’t cause to quash re abuse of process; lawyer withdraws offer, Oregon State Bar says can’t see how biting such line would have hurt me but won’t say why. I hear others, having been good workers and suckered into the employer’s hiring scam, themselves weren’t paid, some even told their card prints went for no DPSST check but were rolled by cops “who nabbed them” and now have CRA type blips because of it…oh well, at least I myself haven’t yet experienced THAT (have I?). All I have to do is now listen to my B-I-L crow about his “more manly, breadwinning” nature in comparison to me and my human/familial/marital worth…hey, if one consciously detesting his lot wants to slap at me, I understand his pathetic need to transfer angst over being a kept State pet, or to drive others from him, or both.

And at least the Oregon Attorney General consumer division appears to have at least notified me they find the relevant lawyer-BOLI practice something to note and form file upon.

In summation, the common point is: Can we be sure that taxes, pay cuts, socialized health care, and credit crimps will actually jump-start mass personal economies or result in physical/economic security, or will they be micro-managed to mint political coin on officials’ swag hikes on grounds they’re “keeping us safe by using compassionate funding of those for whom anti-social behavior is a lifelong, not brief or one-shot, way”…at the gross expense of the vast inter-ethnic/racial majority of people NOT being such pikers?

After all, comrades, we can’t ALL get $500 or more in government love on anything, let alone on stanky old work history, can we? As Obama reminded us back in March, we know what WE’RE doing when WE get mortgages based on jobs which then get cut…bad us, and no jobs/aid until we learn by whatever DHS thinks through its April 2009 reports on us all as “alienated unemployed”…those who get UI/any aid asked no matter what obviously not very alienated and welcome by DSH/social workers/law enforcement….at least until THAT bubble runs dry.

Look at certian email homepages today; all abuzz that Qaeda's number two puke disapproves of Obama's first few months. Oh lordy, is DHS right NOW...criticize Obama or Dems or any official(s) ANYWHERE, and YOU are the radical suspect?

We all know China, Bush, Obama, and many others give bazillions of our and IMF money to Pakistan, the Taliban, and so on, while Qaeda obviosuly gets more guns, swords, cash and credit than any of us. But if one of their henchmen who "can't be caught, just hates Jesus, do as they say!" says HE "doesn't like" Obama, who wouldn't believe the ones Qaeda takes money out the mouths FROM aren't going to be "recruited" by them?

This kind of Qaedamontade is pure garbage, insofar as anyone who might try to get us to think complain about jobs, help the homeless, don't act as Office of Faith-Based Initiatives says, worry about mortgages/credit/schooling/healthcare quality, and DHS will coordinate a Federal down to local pounce on YOU...."radicals".

We all know Al Gore and Senators like Durbin long called for Hussein's removal on non-Qaeda terrorism concerns inter alia, then once accomplished turned and said gosh, that was just a gambit to let steam off al-Qaeda...believeing Democrats when they said Hussein was a supporter of terrorism or even could be as such a despot; many pols today further try to weave Islamic and Christian liberation theologies into a valid "make amends" for provoking poor Qaeda and Hussein and Iran even if they did do things; today, a new Kucinich email PSA is in my inbox saying he'll have the House clerk call for a vote on referring impeachment hearings to the Judiciary Committee on implication something awesome about our "cut it out, they're good!" liberation theology friends...whom post haste all Federal and State laws should be amended to accomodate.
 
My only other religious interest besides ULC has been Roman Catholicism, on such faith and ineterpretations as expressed through works written or maintained by the Vatican.
 
Before Bush or Obama were on the scene, my knowledge of comparative religious perspectives and of exploring religion was akin to that expressed through "Ways Of Being Religious", a 2000 textbook compiled by Gary E. Kessler of California State University, Bakersfield; many of the therein footnoted reading references are also known to me; said textbook has ISBN # 0-7674-0089-5. Such is the scale by which, outside of Catholic or ULC participation, I consider comparative religious studies.

1. Arvind Sharma, born in India, capacity as Professor of Comparative Religion at McGill University, Montreal Canada; wrote "The Hindu Gita" (1986), "A Hindu Perspective On The Philosophy Of Religion" (1990), "Religion And Women" (1993), and "Today's Woman In World Religions" (1993).
 
2. Masao Abe, born in Japan, capacity of Visiting Professor in the Dept. of Philosophy at Purdue University; he was a leading interpreter of Buddhism, and a leading participant in Christian-Buddhist dialgoue; writing include essay "Kenotic God and Dynamic Sunyata" and book "Zen and Western Thought" (1985); he won the 1985 American Academy of Religion award for outstanding contribution to scholarship in religion.
 
3. Insofar as so-called pagan religions are concerned, I rely on whatever best scholarly treatises may exist; in the case of lifelong pursuit of articulating what religion is, I condiser the works of James Breasted (University of Chicago) re ancient Egyptian culture and that of Ur (now Iraq) as I find same last precedent to modern religions.
 
It is from such resources and analysis of modern facts that I respectfully submit...as a voter and USA national only...that I do not believe President Bush committed bad-faith efforts against Islam "causing" it to reactively build jihadists.
 
First, only about two percent of Muslims are nomadic, thusly 98% are not dirt poor or open to jihad on account of poverty; even the EUP PSE references poverty is only a small facet of Islamic terrorism.
 
Second, jihad is a DUTY of leaders in the Caliphate/Imamate branch of Islam; the purpose of jihad seems to be to cause others to become either Muslims or protected people, then "fortifying the marches" so that any Muslim or protected person isn't harmed by outsiders...among those believing in such "final triumph" of Islam are the Twelver Shiites, members of the official State religion of Iran today (although it's unclear how much government rather than people influence that), and of course al-Qaeda, of course Saddam Hussein as Caliphates given to such belief themselves. Given what even Democrats said about Hussein during Clinton, and on heels of 911, a reduction of such Caliphate/Imamate-based extremists and their ability to operate globally seemed reasonable...and still does re threats from Tehran.
 
Third, Qaedan jihad seems to concern itself with appeal to the 2% of dirt-poor Muslims and on largely "day one" Islamic perspectives; Hussein and Irani-type jihad seems to concern itself with purely nationalistic interests on a geopolitical basis. As example, Qaeda looks at the Islamic Surah 4:34 literally: "Men have authority over women because Allah has made one superior to the other", yet Iran includes women in social functionality...the more likely "civil war" factor.
 
Fourth, surely if European and USA officials thought more than a tiny percentage of the world's Muslims were open to radicalization against ANYONE not an Islamic zealot, such officials would not all at once reduce defenses, invite jihadists to diplomat status as if "new age defense", and continue with cultures otherwise so 180 degrees opposite Islamic fundamentalism...where merely letting women vote is a "PING!". Which bears up that jihadists aren't offering the West or anyone else "protected persons" status against Qaedan terror unless they are exempted from the circumstances and from obeying laws like other immigrants and nationals.
 
Fifth, Christian liberation theology may have sprung up in Latin nations, q.v. CBE's in Brazil, but now exists in every corner of the globe; such theology is based on theory Christ was actually some kind of Socialist ubermensch who wants leaders treated as kings while disciples live in tents eating bread and shake down whoever they can for cash and such yet who isn't their leader; these liberationists apparently claim even the original Apostles "got it wrong", let alone the Vatican; governments tend to treat them as "knowing best" and ala everyday Muslims lumped with jihadists as "ALL are terrorists", anyone anywhere not following the "special catechisms" of liberation folks gets tossed in with the liberation front, getting called "ALL (nationality here) are such people!".
 
Wherefore, I respectfully submit that any attempt to impeach President Bush at this late, late date is wholly partisan, and seeks as tangent to its purpose an implication that all immigrants are here on canard they're all super-tough rogues who'll spare us, and who want to see totalist governments arrange their wills and faiths for them...no matter what anyone says about Bush or who wins the next election.
 

My wife is of Ulster-Scot descent, including on one side a slight Dutch-Cherokee mix, and is a Stephens College business grad inter alia whose heroes remain Queen Elizabeth II and Jean Kirkpatrick; she spent much of yesterday telling me it's not my style to be politically or lawfully inert just because in past some have tried to kill, maim, or use Courts against me on account of truth or views, that I would not be happy with myself ever again if I shut up especially (SHE told ME) "in Illinois where NOBODY ever does anything to ANYBODY, you just imagine it or work in cahoots with strangers", and that I would not be the man she married and is happy with were I to not at least stay with Conservatives through this year's elections...in that spirit, and while we still plan to go elsewhere by this Fall, I will stay involved through the election.
 
I see at my email today Obama is going to have three thousand "we worship YOU for change" gatherings this Saturday; he claimed to have as many last Summer, but outside Chicago most seemed to have no more than the neighborhood organizer attend; maybe huge crowds all at once across America will be flashed by all media, together with "change" specifics.
 
Two other things seem more interesting as Obama reaches out with nebulous "change" palavers...Mayor Daley, after at least ten years, has finally noticed Chicago porches fall apart on first use, most folks today with crummy porches are new immigrants, and is going to nail those "right-wingers" who built and own them; and Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan (D) is going to start suing Countrywide inter alia mostly for immigrants and slightly for nationals re giving them homeloans and expecting them to pay without having work ( which Obama will tell you itself is due to all this xenophobic and nationalistic racism because too MANY jobs exist; q.v., must go green for global warming, as long as it doesn't involve work or land to produce own fuels or alternatives against U.N. LOST wishes).
 
You know, in re consumer credit protection here, one institutionalized thing with Chicago and Illinois Democrats is the practice of doing away with centuries-old doctrines hich make employers and those serve by contractors liable for acts and omissions of their agents; e.g., I have a Court order which requires Mid America to give good references on any inquiry ever-after, but Mid America filed for sheriff door knock-down after first seeing we had all possessions and ourselves moved into Oregon; you catch them on that or anyting else re CRAs, all they have to do is say "they didn't intend their agents, lawyers, or contracted services to do that", ditto can anyone say including your employers, and just like ab initio, Courts and Madigans feel it would be unfair to then have a proper party sign a reference or relevant verification and present it to you through them as part of any record. Correlatively, although a shopbook entry in usual course, unsigned CRA printouts are deemed "hearsay" if a CRA tells the State or a Court "not MINE!"...and anyone saying it is or that's what they got? Oh, more evidence of a vast, right-wing conspiracy trying to gain political advantage, ignore them.
 
As to Illinois Democrats and Attorney General consumer credit protection over actual matter, like Daley on the sub-State level with his porches or anything else, Madigan excels at winning suits, which always have deadlines for victims to contact her for settlement shares, but too often, wouldn't you know, so many people just never get in touch with her office in a timely or well-documented fashion; comes to mind the victory Madigan won a few years ago re Household: like the one my wife got, tons of folks around late 2000 et seq got bulk-mailed live checks in amounts of thousands of dollars, which enticed them to cash it and use money for anything at all, or tear up and throw out if they didn't want it; yep, wouldn't you know, my wife and I then living in Nashville TN, no matter what proofs of content and mailings and relevant contact attempts we had, doggone it!! We were just to stupid, lazy, or both to get a "timely" claim in, just like all the other sluggards obviously working with Bush and McCain in a vast right-wing conspiracy to make good folks look bad.
 
So anybody gets a settlement entitlement via Madigan, maybe videotape what you do to timely comply and put it on Youtube or whatever as backup; wouldn't want to have your USPS proofs called part of a vast conspiracy, would you?
 
As to porches and Obama as the Lord Of Job Creation: Um, 287g also works here such that you round up as many immigrants as you set up in homes, in election years "round up and get out of town" all those "illegals" a vast conspiracy let in, put up cinder block and facade quickie little warehouses and store fronts which then remain eternally "for sale" as proof of attracting commerce and jobs, move all the "287 g roundups" to a town or State a little farther away from town than most folks go, build so many exurbanite New Urban communities with crummy porches and all, the mind reels how commerce (or structural perfection) can possibly compete with new super-fast build ups of such communities. Ususally, in "off" years, new immigrants go to the old town as nationals lose homes, process of packing 287 g's elsewhere repeats, easy election, easy big paychecks for officials...nobody gets work, equity becomes more political will than money or dignity.
 
Something to think about as Democrats eye HR 1955 to quash nationals AND immigrants to make mainstream lives for those demanding jihad against the USA or anyone else ala Atta and 9/11, instead of constraining them abroad as Bush does.
 

One sees that next on the whirlwind of ideas not tethered to causations is Obama saying he'll crack down on energy traders...let's just assume he's going to be for cracking down on anything that moves, IF it ever actually contributes to a problem, causes one, or both; surely, even Obama would have introduced a bill or something at the State or later Federal level if he actually had proof of anything he's "out to get" during campaigns only. Insofar as that, there isn't much energy stuff to hit OUR traders for, since it's all controlled by the likes of Iran and Chavez in Venezuela as nationalizers, raw product producers, or both.

As to the limitless stuff Democrats and Obama are out to get IF they ever have evidence to support such "getting", this includes nationalism, xenophobia, and of course racism. The biggest "amen" choir Obama has there is the UCC, Roman Catholic priest Pfleger, and USA Roman Catholic Bishops and Cardinals such as those in Chicago.
 
In the stunning absence of how all this organized racism and nationalism is happening, line by line, chapter and verse, Obama and his choir expect us to just PRESUME it goes on AND is keeping folks of color or tongues other than English (so you can also slap at diverse ethnics and races citizens for generations) from some 1960's or way bigger industrial-military edifice dripping with jobs and dignity.
 
That's canard one for consumption to non-nationals. Number two: the "you're all low-brow cretins and apes who need tender mercies and nurturing from the poor natures your leaders at home cultivate in you, you poor victims of your society". These days, social liberals and Pfleger types literally are banging non-stop to suggest all non-whites and foreigners, you see, are natural born killers without the mental capacity for behaving nicely...which is why, for example, it's become stylish to actually come out and say things like "oh my God! The police somewhere shot another non-White or non-citizen who, after all, was only armed in violation of carry or gun possession laws and actually was intending to shoot other non-Whites, Whites, police, oh, who cares...amen and verily, the Christian thing to do is harp about gun violence and harsher laws, then say that police are race and ethnic cleansers for even daring to think a non-White or non-national has the ability to know what they're doing".
 
See, canard one is the lure for immigrants, canard two is the "tolerance" of certain violence in the same nature as the European Union Parliament does; plus, canard two is the basis for quashing and re-arranging or jailing or whatever one's own nationals and even other immigrants, ala said Parliament's Article 13, to make room and tolerance for the violence and deaths caused by terrorists and anyone the government deems the proper party for raining havoc and death upon at-large populations.
 
To reiterate, it seems poor service to imply all non-Whites and non-English speaking people are nothing but killer drones who need tender love no matter how long they conduct ethnic cleansing at home, terrorism for any reasons, and so forth; as the Democrat 2007-08 security agenda stands unaltered to date, including by Obama and Clinton, HR 1955 to quash USA nationals WILL happen, LOST WILL give away our ability to process or produce ANYTHING considered fuel and with ot without Socializing/nationalizing all necessary business to avoid discussions, and the USA WILL adopt the same sweeping powers to re-arrange any immigrants and nationals in ways exactly like Qaeda, Hamas, Chavez, Mexico, Darfur's Janjaweed, and others do, making said folks and places something to expect immigrants to run from and need compassion against (and we're SURE even non-Whites and most immigrants want that?).
 
I for one believe that most folks can easily live in diversity within the USA and elsewhere, and don't need a life "keeper", especially in some nature of New Urban minimum security/trail by video or GPS lockdown with "income" limited to some kind of subsidy or "credit" good only for what the warden can get his hands on or feels like meting out at politically orthodox realtors and providers (GUM or "feel lucky" socialized/totalized medicine sound familiar?).
 
Let's not stoop to the raw racism, again ala the 1960's, that assumes non-Whites/non-English speakers are all bloody animals in need of keepers...and further that putting all of us together in the ultimate national housing project minus farms, jobs, and social dignity is doing more than creating a horror which otherwise has no life.
 

Our response to terrorism cannot be confined to a set of security measures. We must also examine our capacity to respond to attacks and focus on the prevention of terrorism and terrorist recruitment. Prevention must include fighting root causes of terrorism such as social exclusion, poverty, inequality and discrimination and political resentment.

The Madrid agenda is right to stress that "While poverty is not a direct cause of terrorism, economic and social policy can help mitigate exclusion and the impact of rapid socioeconomic change, which give rise to grievances that are often exploited by terrorists".

Fighting the root causes of terrorism must be based on promotion of universal values. This means upholding the civil liberties of all, promoting social inclusion, fighting discrimination and pursuing the better integration of minorities and migrants.

A European approach to social inclusion

We have recently seen growing social unrest in several European countries. In this age of globalisation, debate about welfare reform and a stronger European social model is closely linked to social inclusion.

In recent decades, EU member states have had different approaches to the integration of people living on the edges of society. While this has produced substantial improvement in living conditions and recognition of citizenship rights for some, new generations now face new forms of disillusionment. In most European towns and cities, these new generations experience the contradiction between successful cultural and civic integration and the perception of growing social and economic marginalisation.

Our duty as European social democrats is to set out political solutions to these new challenges. We begin with some reflection on different national experiences and promoting best practice to find new ways of promoting economic and social inclusion and equality.

A European strategy should be founded on two principles:

1. Inclusion begins not only with recognition of fundamental rights and citizenship rights, but when people really exercising these rights.
2. Fighting discrimination and promoting equal opportunities – in particular in education, training and employment – should be a cornerstone of all policies.

Promoting and developing the integration of minorities and migrants

The London attacks led to new political initiatives and a wide-ranging public debate about how to strengthen community cohesion and speed up integration.

Although all individuals have the same fundamental rights, causes of exclusion often build up. Victims of ethnic discrimination often have poor access to housing and education. This in turn threatens their job chances, bringing a real risk of exclusion from mainstream society. This lack of opportunity can help terrorist recruitment.

The EU must therefore make full use of its wide-ranging powers against discrimination. We insist on full respect for Article 13 of the Treaty and full implementation of European law in all member states.

Finally, the EU must actively promote civil and political rights, for failure to integrate and empower migrants can also help terrorist recruitment. The EU must set minimum standards for integration, such as civil and political rights, including the right to vote. " (End of EU PSE citation)

Obama has a lot of pols and activists rooting for him, but only like he's going to include all these folks, straight or gay, citizens or not in the 2008 Presidential election (or at least no-trail votomatics will); the only "change" so far pre-DNC Convention appears to be a shut-up/shut off forever case-closer that the USA WILL arrange as a Socialist oligarchy as the European Union and its friends demand (and would not otherwise have).

 

But, who talks anymore about Obama or for that matter his running mate (oh, that's right...he doesn't need one!)...on that point, McCain fares no better. The reason for this media was kind enough to excuse replays of Obama speeches, Democrat LOST/HR 1955/DREAM/LA offering to pay extremists, and so forth, meaning in such vacuum ANYBODY grinning and saying "change!" might be worth a shake; since USA politicians and officials are content to wait until the DNC and GOP Conventions to state what their ideas of change and progress and security are, your ol' curmudgeon and very interested USA citizen is on vacation until August 22, 2008, the tentative start of the DNC Convention (GOP tentatively starts Labor Day)...besides, even Congress.org has taken to using can't-read anti-robots on ALL letters to leaders til then, and Associated Press is crying that it will sue anyone who uses its video IF its video even if showing acta of officials and candidates.
