I received a DCCC PSA email, titled "Heckling The President Is Unacceptable"; my thoughts are as follows.
First, whether a President is Obama or Bush or anybody else or even one day me, not one USA President is above the People...if the only argument even I could ever come up with in retort to questions or hecklers was something like "Wahhhhhhh!!!! You have cooties! People, he/she is a pooh, let's ignore them, and say THEY have no way of substantiating THEIR position!", to be able to look myself in the mirror I would resign as wholly uncompetent...it would be MY responsibility to ideate, to rationalize, to not hide, to not heckle, to not just pronounce myself "bureaucratically excellent" and sidestep or call alienated/revolutionary/terrorist anyone who wanted a piece in contrary position. Oh...and wasn't Howard Dean, Harry Reid, and so forth, including Ted Kennedy, who told us GOP Theodore Roosevelt was right when he said especially in war and time of uncertainty, it's the most democratic thing one can do to question one's President?
Second, the economy is hurting....Obamacare says all nationals and immigrants are or will be a bunch of very ill or disabled folks EACH needing at least $17, 566 APIECE in the first year alone of neo-care....that's about $1.76 TRILLION to the economy, current student loan programs, unemployment insurance (any more extensions yet?), food stamps (found a job yet, comrades?), and FHA loans (Obaman retort to foreclosure cases: just refi, no big whoop! Got credit outside store-only, comrades?). This is significant what with new Federal et al taxes set to kick in within a month, Obamacare or not, and Obamacare or not, the economy rolls along saying to KEEP what you get loaned (houses, cars post cash-for-clunkers, et al) you have to PAY from your own INCOME as there's NO MONEY out there for actual bills.
Third, obviously, we need trade and job investment; even Latinos are saying "sure, government loves the Pope and immigrants, but where's the trabajo o credito for immigrants, nationals, or new citizens?" to me, and it repeats through every stripe of other immigrant and national.
So for all those who say "bureacratic excellence" (i.e., silence or ignore contrary evidence, prate on as if all works and fund only those minions of like mind...hey, is THAT why Feds gave Pakistan and Taliban $249 BILLION, no-strings, earler this year, while calling alienated unemployed nationals and immgrants at home, and vets, "of interest"?) even COULD be questioned by even the least exposed little people minds, one maintains the audacity of hope that they'll admit it's not Socialism (you have to pay from cash eventually as you ARE billed for homes, blah) or Capitalism (have to be ZONED or ALLOWED to open a shop, factory, office, or have a job TO GET) that's the problem, it's the fact nobody admits Socialist ideas are used to delay and drop-off people re the economy, while the same officials nationwide profit through keeping Capitalist failure-to-pay fates alive.
In short, not only does Obama need to be heckled, so do ALL officials and their henchmen and spin-doctors who would have us believe we are but clay on their potter's wheels, paying foreign attackers off keeps them well-off, and they only have the philosophical, ethical "spine" to protect themselves from critics not despots...and this pseudo-Socialist, psuedo-Capitalist pincers movement is the perfect way to cowtow to even imaginary enemies or ones who couldn't exist but for their help, while steamrolling over a bankrupt population wholly dependent on them for the very air they breathe.
To conclude, I guess when it comes to looking at our economy, I can only say I would stand as did Eisenhower and JFK...leaders who knew HOW to lead, WHAT they were in service for, and earned the respect and admiration of oh so many people world-wide.
