I read with interest a recent email from the Atlanta Journal-Constituion, same being an article recently by former CIA/GOP Bob Barr; he wrote about the currently proposed  Cybersecurity Act of 2009, rightly outlining that same will allow Obama or any high or petty official(s) anywhere to slam down internet access, public/private/commercial, without notice and keep it off as long as "security" demnads it.

 

Okay, this from the crowd who keeps paying Osama bin Laden, all similar scuzz, berates our troops, and runs a DHS which is praised by almost all USA officials, and which itself finds we all must be spied on due to belief the economy is or isn't good. Excellent; just the kinds of pigs-in-pokes to blindly trust.

 

Well, what better way to keep YOU or me from posting ANYTHING that might be videographic or other data proving or DISPROVING the status of anything in our locales; e.g., true traffic status, true number of vacant if new commercial and residential properties, or anything humanly imagineable.

 

Insofar as the great mortgage/job fix, I just concluded a self-drive examination of life via driving from Zion Illinois to Salem Oregon over a five day period; I used I-30 in Illinois until Clinton Iowa, then cut to I-80, in much of Nebraska used parallel to 80 I-30, and the usual Hwy 20 in Oregon after Wyoming and Idaho.

 

Zion IL: No EWTN, jazzed motel/hotel/apartment activities from needing tons of IDs to deposits and so much more; police frenzied and acting in nature of executing DHS "right-wing" report surveillance/stops; between Zion IL and Omaha NE, very deep anecdotal pockets all along route, towns left jobless, no frenzied police yet seen; between Omaha and Laramie WY, ditto, plus EWTN still on there; Pocatello Idaho, exactly like Zion IL to the max; between Pocatello and Burns Oregon, only Boise exists and dittos Zion/Chicago IL; Burns Oregon to Willamette Valley, EWTN still on, no frenzies despite less "San Fran" New Urban appearances; Willamette Valley, plus Bend OR, no EWTN, libraries/police obsessing EVERYTHING from new State-issued plate number series on older car, through and beyond anyone needing a public washroom or internet access...while as in other such areas, media reports only sports, weather, inanities, and of course high praise of all USA officials for the government jobs they do....YOU aren't unhappy or "radicalized", are YOU?

 

To recap, most of the USA I saw, in complete commingled multi-racial/ethnic populations, is in very, very sad appearing and jobless shape, and was bemoaning now car dealership eliminations to boot; yet they are helping in service to each other, and were most kind to even strangers or guests. The only truly crummy, mean, like-Ronal Serpas-cleaning-New Orleans/Seattle/Nashville towns were Zion IL, Pocatello Idaho, Bend Oregon, and anything in the San Fran wannabe Willamette valley.

 

Some say we must look to be of service to others; I respectfully remind those who say this that even the saintliest people on earth eventually have to have SOMETHING with which to continue such enterprise...and deserve better than expectation they are in line for the Zion-Pocatello treatment, Serpas-style.

 

That said, who cares if Obama, Durbin, Wyden, or the man in the moon wants to slam down all media access, now including internet, just to keep job talk and similar things off the airwaves? The doctrine of "look around you" ought to be enough to demonstrate anything but uber-economic health has been washed over all the USA.
