We all know in the past ten or so days CNN, Newsweek, and TIME have come together in messianic homage to President Barack Obama, in no small part due to what they refer to as a deft fixing of many if not all mortgage foreclosure cases; too, all folks need to do is quit worrying about their homes or rented apartments now, and go over to http://www.opportunity.gov to see all the jobs that could be theirs (okay, mere RESOURCES for job hunting just bunched together)...and what with all this work to do, and literally no homes now at risk, how could anyone think it's more DHS influence of opinion through media powers that Obama indeed is the one to replace Christ as the Savior?
Well, I know I mentioned that at he same instant TIME was rolling out a paen to Obama, Illinois African-American former IL Attorney General and now Democrat U.S. Senator Roland W. Burris (all this mentioned to show HE can't be accused of being racist against Obama) emailed me a PSA representing in nature that the current economic picture and outlook is so bad, it alone is a reason to have DHS NICC work with all law, agencies, and myriad job posting/private sector entities to spy upon, delay, and disrupt religious or any kind at all gathering of anyone, if the point is to protest that Federal, State, or Local government officials are just talking for outside ears while plowing along as usual...unless there's some other way(s) a bad economy projected into future could be "of cause" for Burris and DHS. Thus, it cannot concurrently be that media is right about Obama's curative powers, and that Burris is right about current and ever-growing downturns...in that Burris is official and media at best is ALWAYS speculation, I'll stand on the Burris position.
Add to Burris' obiter dictum the story by the New York Times, currently at http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/04/opinion/04mon2.html?scp=4&sq=&st=nyt , you can read the super-cool REALITY on Obama's "foreclosure cure" (and thus even more question where all these coming uber-taxes REALLY will go), which NYT details begin with the statements (to be read as at May 03, 2009):
"The Obama administration sat by last week as 12 Senate Democrats joined 39 Senate Republicans to block a vote on an amendment that would have allowed bankruptcy judges to modify troubled mortgages.
Senator Obama campaigned on the provision. And President Obama made its passage part of his antiforeclosure plan. It would have been a very useful prod to get lenders to rework bad loans rather than leaving the modification to a judge.
But when the time came to stand up to the banking lobbies and cajole yes votes from reluctant senators — the White House didn’t. When the measure failed, there wasn’t even a statement of regret.
Mr. Obama’s plan to keep struggling Americans in their homes now relies on lenders to voluntarily rework bad loans. The plan provides ample incentives, including payments to servicers who successfully modify loans and, in some cases, payments to mortgage investors who agree to modifications. Whether that will be enough remains to be seen." [End Of NYT Citation]
The latter better matches the Burris position, than does CNN, Newsweek, TIME, and so on; also, DHS NICC component activity (e.g., motels/hotels/apartments, Sheriffs on evictions/local police coordinated, strategic blockings of main throughway streets only) have been on the big rise in Lake County Illinois and elsewhere within the State, as has been suddenly merely walking (yes, even for Caucasians like me) or biking despite local news invitations to bike or walk to work...maybe police get tough because they can't tell who's homeless now or not; too, there all these spanking new ticket AND surveillance cameras going up all over Lake County Illinois, where same have never existed before...and as ever-increasing strip malls turn out to be housing little more than "for lease" signs. And as not even with Obama in charge of Federal DHS/DOJ can Il Attorney General Lisa Madigan (D) do anything about CRA's hq'd in Illinois and which report you as having NO work or residential history, even where same causes you job/credit passover regardless of CREDIT past, it sure seems the New Illinois will be amongst those requiring far fewer residents in future...just hope it doesn't lead to "confined or constricted areas prone to epidemics", or "mass detentions due to Tea Party psychological DHS issues", burdens increased by movements into other States, and so on.
