Remember April 15, 2009, when CNN ran all that reporting that even though multi-ethnic, multi-gender, multi-partisan in composition, all those "Tea Parties" in at least 800 USA towns and cities were "small, and racist" stabs at he miracle worker Obama?

Well, CNN partner TIME magazine this week joins the "Adorable, Beloved Savior Who HAS Given You ALL More Jobs, Credit, and Cash, Plus Saved ALL Mortgages" DHS bandwagon in doing, as the DHS report ( http://www.fas.org/irp/eprint/rightwing.pdf ) promises, the of influencing public opinion so all USA governmental layers are spared from bother.

At http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1896588,00.html , you can presently read again the opinion of that piece's author and TIME that Obama is the best thing next (?) to God, and ala Newsweek and Good Morning America last week and CNN back in April, anybody going to a "Tea Party" from now on is just anecdotal filth, and praise be DHS for deciding such disgruntled dead-headed Americans and immigrants be sat on hard for daring to believe anybody but an occasional few people haven't tasted deeply of Obaman salvation.   

Illinois US Senator Burris' office verbatim told me the following re DHS: "As you may know, the Department of Homeland Security released a threat assessment report titled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” in April of 2009. This report addresses many recent societal changes as risk factors for right wing extremism: the Obama Presidency, gun control issues, immigration issues, and the current economic situation. Additionally, it highlights the possible vulnerability of disgruntled military veterans to extremist recruitment efforts. Subsequently, some conservative groups viewed the language in the DHS report as a political attack against them. The most outrage was felt in the veteran’s community.

Secretary Napolitano has since issued numerous apologies to our veterans for any offense caused by this report. I, along with Secretary Napolitano and my colleagues in the Senate, agree that although it is the responsibility of the DHS to monitor terrorist threats, it is not their duty to monitor ideology or political beliefs. Secretary Napolitano gave her assurance that the DHS will continue to work with its state and local partners to prevent and protect against threats to the United States associated with any rise in violent extremist activity.

Again, thank you for your correspondence. As a member of the Homeland Security Committee, I will work closely with Secretary Napolitano to enact measures that will ensure our country’s safety." [End Of Burris PSA Quote]

Please note that whereas veterans and political groups deserve to be left alone by DHS, religions, influence of media/public opinion, and fact that DHS insists the USA economy WILL continue to shrink are not something even Senator Burris thinks are problematic; poser is, what are he, Obama, and officials at every level and of every personal trait/makeup stripe going to do with all the people falling down as the economy forever and in patterned cycles constantly shrinks? Just stand up to their needs, hope they go away, use DHS influence to call losers and critics racist, elitist, hater, dross not rising to protected hate crime victim status to boot?   

Sidebar to DHS, Senator Burris, inter alia: maybe it's just me (and Hindus, many Muslims, Jews, atheists, and so on), but don't you guys maybe think it'd be a good idea to change Mid-East USA military commanders less often, while blaming THEM for laying off the Qaedans you tell them to (Bush started with Tommy Franks, and the beat goes on with Obama), and while you guys sit around giving no-strings zillions to Qaedan and Hamas sponsors? I mean, if these creeps are "due to Jesus somehow", um...India is mostly Hindu, for example, and Mumbai is hardly the first attack or last they've suffered, ditto many world Muslims, Jews, atheists, and so forth in oh so many lands, and they emanate from those no-strings places...gee, I hope I don't get DHS cooties for noting that.
