Wasn't it just a month ago that THE thing about Mexico inter alia was a mega-huge drug cartel, operating in 230 USA cities, per Senator Durbin (D-IL)? Back then, and so many college spring breakers in Mexico inter alia then, nobody seemed aware of ANY illness(es) floating around Latin America or Mexico; maybe the need to vaccinate was then just starting, I don't really know...just that we're to drop "drug lords" re Mexico and now obsess "swine flu", while being very inconsiderate to ask Obama or in fact any level of officials about anything else, as far as hysteria media portrays...media which won't break down of cases reported, who's primary healthcare is public healthcare, private practitioners, or none at all prior to walk-ins; were they vaccinated for anything or otherwise given syringes (methadone, diabetes treatments, e.g.) seasonably prior to becoming ill...that sort of thing.    

As for USA officials, they now assure us that Baxter will first have a swine flu vaccine available for mass or even sporadic public use about the end of June 2009, coincidentally the end of the Spring Congressional legislative period.

Well, a number of early March 2009 reports show Baxter was then under fire for shipping LIVE Avian flu as vaccine (e.g., http://www.naturalnews.com/025760.html ); seems upheld even in mainstream Canadian press at http://www.torontosun.com/news/canada/2009/02/27/8560781.html .

Maybe the real hysteria should be: how do we know for sure this is "swine flu" brought in by immigrants/refugees/low incomes, or if they just have results of snafu Baxter bird flu hijinx? I mean, swine flu derived from 1918 Spanish flu spreads to millions through the air alone, no matter where one hides and faster than gauze masks can protect ( http://virus.stanford.edu/uda/ ); that's also faster than the two weeks ANY flu vaccine can reach first best efficacy; yet as the World Health Organization says of an avian flu-caused pandemic/epidemic at caption "What changes are needed for H5N1 to become a pandemic virus?", currently at http://www.who.int/csr/disease/avian_influenza/avian_faqs/en/index.html#areall , quote: " Adaptive mutation, expressed initially as small clusters of human cases with some evidence of human-to-human transmission, would probably give the world some time to take defensive action" [End of Citation].

Wherefore, I respectfully submit query: does it seem the spread of/health agency  reaction to the hooplahed flu scare is dealing with 1918 Spanish flu morphed through 1930 into today's swine flu...the kind that moves like lightening across entire continents with hardly any time to react, or say avian flu growing slowly in anecdotal pockets, against which there's no real hurry for super-heroic distributions of care/hospice/protection/antivirals, and for which the rest of us can easily and fairly safely wait until good ol' Baxter comes up with a swine flu vaccine we'll all be all too happy to buy...at any outrageous price they charge, as we then panic a non-imminent monster is trying to eat us, and cry: "Thy wills be done, Lords Obama and Congress, pass/tax/draconian swagger through our culture as you will...but in the holy names of Thyselves, mercy and vaccine!!!".

I myself intend to see how others fare before trying any, if any, Baxter swine flu vaccine.
