I was thinking how odd it was that the GOP, after spending all those years under Bush claiming ANY nominee A President sends the Senate MUST be confirmed "under the Constitution", is now cloying at Democrats and Obama as if there is never an expectancy of ANY nominee ever to be confirmed; too, the GOP used to say the Senate filibuster should be ended to keep a President and his party from being inconvenienced by opponents...oh well, truth and character are as strong as the failure to have two or more mouths lasts.
Then yesterday, my television conked out, so I took to llistening to radio through this morning; on what few Conservative talk stations there are in this area, all they said and aired was as if this were George Walker Bush's FIRST days in office, he is QED again re Muslim terrorists, GITMO, the economy, immigration, and on and on and on. To be sure, most folks on air as represented audience appeared to sound at least as old as me (48) if not well older, and many of these here local types are the sort to...honestly, please feel free to poll or interview them at-large...not even have visited their own small town downtowns in years or decades, let alone any place else in the State, region, nation, or globe; their information base is in nature of since they've "coasted with reverse mortgages and the like under valiant pro-life, pro-America only, tax-cutting economy sparker, ubermensch war hero Bush until lately", of course THEY are now uncomfortable because the world fears OBAMA and DEMOCRATS.
In other words, world readers, this is where the tiny percentage STILL approving of Bush comes from...older, situationally remote, assumes everywhere else MUST be like where they live, it's still 1978, run off ferreners and the homeless who are all drunks and druggies, oh and "those people too", and plenty o' cash fer Skeeter 'N Me...just ask Hate Radio.
Anyway, the shows I heard in the past day just prate on: when Bush releases ANY GITMO detainees after so many years, he does so under Democrat/UN pressure and really could prove them varmints guilty ifn' anybody'd LET him take them to Courts or tribunals; naturally, GITMO detainees then go back to lives of terrorism, sure to be mollycoddled by immigrant-loving Democrats; George Ryan shouldn't be pardoned as he conflicted with Bush keeping America clean of too many Latinos; Ramos and Compean actually made their own deals at borders to help Democrats so why pardon them; on and on and on the pure propaganda spews...again, please feel free to come have a listen to any here local radio you may, and don't just take my word for it. Nope, not a peep about Bush putting Wahabbi strand Muslims (i.e., al-Qaeda strand) into USA national security and spy posts; nope, nothing about White House-Mexico Matricula Consular; nope, just whatever Bushdad Boob reads into the microphones on preface it's Bush promises and Bush Day One.
While again those who eat it up ARE the tiny total Bush popularity fans of recent years, and thus hardly yet even aware or maybe accepting of any more balanced realities, and so may themselves be racists and whatnots if anything due to bad data/clergy teachings/whatever, the neocons fronting such palaver seen as hate speak BY THE REAL WORLD should not be seen as the drive of America's pulse, nor should anyone cave to bailout/slam story malarkeys they and neocon-installed folks bandy for their own bailouts "or else!"; and one hopes all people abroad will not judge Americans by such haters any more than most Americans dislike anyone at all on earth "just because".
But where some would not advocate or even care to have life-improving solutions for anyone even listening to them, and exist just by actually attempting to obessesively destroy reputations and truths solely for their own power trips, and such folks use PUBLIC means and seek to crimp PUBLIC competitiion for media involvement/ownership, I respectfully submit that they themselves admit prima facie evidence for compelling need to bring back the Fairness Doctrine...so at least omnibus at-large professional rebuttals could be offered.
