As I was looking over my inbox today, several messages from such as Dick Armey therein appeared, each telling me that really it's these union wages which have bust the auto industry, and that not bailing out that sector will save the economy and let auto makers pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

 

This, I thought, was the kind of tour de force stab at retaining social relevancy so many are doing today (due to lack of bucks in the money supply and economic structure) which gainsays against someone else without tether to reality for raw emotional appeal (casts an invidious shadow): see, them durn Democrats whut bested us'n in TWO successive elections like them thar yoonyun workers, so if'n we bust them dang unions we'll fix the economy, case closed! But lost is the true macro fact that union wages are tiny fraction of any vehicle's cost, prices HAVE to be high even to recoup costs made MOSTLY BY ROBOTIC EQUIPMENT ANYWAY as so few cars have been moving at ANY price the last few years, and generally jobs and income other than refi/ebay-type garage salesmanship have been on a pervasive wane...this is also a subliminal to those abroad that by necessary inference, many, many good jobs would exist but for USA workers making too much (yes, even non-white ones) and who don't want to share...the Right's contribution to the status quo not changing; let's do the twist between little guys and think that alone is all there is.  

 

Then I became aware of a certain Roman Catholic Cardinal in the USA who is saying people who voted Obama...yea, unto Obama himself...are "apocalyptic": http://www.cuatower.com/2008/11/14/cardinal-at-cua-obama-is-%E2%80%98aggressive-disruptive-and-apocalyptic%E2%80%99/ . Remember how I said earlier this year, the Pope adopted a "Kahuna Matata" attitude about all governments/gambios on earth, just do what the locals APPEAR IN YOUR MIND TO WANT? That's his way of getting by where government $$$$$$$ is the largess of your income, and you too must pretend SOMETHING other than a lackluster money supply is ALL laity's problem. Also, I witnessed Illinois State investigators grill my landlord about me after checking out the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church, I've seen Priests uber-exhort to Holy Hours, Rosaries, et al, then not show themselves but help police ID those who show up as demanding fundamentalists, a Vatican nun endorse Obama; now, in this same farago of clergy (I am NOT poking at the FAITH), over elsewhere in the same USA a DIFFERENT Cardinal is doing the same thing to people where MCCAIN and such are the demigods...one wonders what those in the Mid East, Africa, and elsewhere hear about stingy Americans or "all Muslims as killers", inter alia, from such clergy; hope they don't oversell the current USA as the land of instant financial security and unbridled freedoms, too.  

 

For edification of the Cardinals, reread John Chapter 15, please; Jesus Himself said to God that God should NOT take out of this world those who don't hear Him, but that God should protect ALL from the one and only evil one working against all of us, high, low, and in between. ANY Calivinism or Puritanism seems right out by Christ's own mouth, and don't me any Apostle(s) knew better than Him.

 

Now, it's not likely that Roman Catholicism is the only religion scrambling for social relevancy without better ideas than how to extort ongoing relevancy to helping what they perceive to be purse-holding pundits without whom they could not survive any better than the laities they excoriate...worse, that ANY official(s) should find clergy putting themselves in the driver's seat and making government appease THEM.

 

For these reasons, I submit that absolutely, let EVERY peaceful faith attempt to express itself; however, in the interest of true progress and to keep appearances of undue influences through or by any religion(s), the Office Of Faith-Based Initiatives be dissolved and government money in total be stopped to all religions...each one says God will provide for those truly doing his will anyway, so what's the huge fear factor by clergy on that one, especially where just what THEY spend efforts/money on is so often murky?

 

That, and Obama and a new Congress deserve a true chance; all persons in the USA also deserve better service from social service/justice organizations and PACs than idealess name-callings which also only conflate the status quo.
