I see via a Congress.org link that we're to get up in arms rallying behind a Congressional call to get uber-tough with child stalkers; I know schools literally make kids do at least one "practice" complaint against at least one adult to pass, plus act like every person out there will molest them in an instant, so stay off streets and out of parks, so I suppose at least kids should get another boost from the very officials who put frights into them over even parents and teachers. Other than that, like everything else it's yet another re-re-re-re-statement of statutes we've had for decades, all still in force; in regard to weighing if Congress isn't "coming around in concern for little guys" with another re-statement of law, add it to the pile of emotionalism and illusion we wouldn't have what we have without bureaucratic excellence ( any irony therein?).
Anyway, I saw an ad for a new film featuring Bill Maher, coming out in October, which appears to be about even more mockery of Christian faiths.
Time to make sense not so much out of piecemeal Obama religion flip-flops, cable operators yanking EWTN (provided to them free) after the Pope's USA visit (but leaving on Protestants who pay to air) as Pelosi and Giuliani agreed the people want loosened Catholicism, Maher calling the Pope a Nazi, "Jerry Springer: The Musical", "Sexy Jesus", Maher's new film, insistence on gay marriage not just unions (even if pols think it's a taught or learned thing to be gay, and even if that chafes gay people), ad infinitum; rather, to make sense of the final points of which such aggregate stuff may be intended as an inculcated if synthetic set of "proofs" in support.
We all know we're going to have another one of those elections that is going to result, voting issue(s) carping or not, in a President who cries for our compassion to the world, as if we're all Simon Legree if we don't do more, and who will ask us to hug each other and come together...like 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006 before him. Who wins doesn't seem as important as does the idiom in which they will assume office.
It would seem that a likely very lackluster Christmas shopping season is going to be blamed not on an eternally small money supply in re scope of distributions to the USA public, but upon a "rejection" of Western Christianity by Western nationals and intra-hemispheric immigrants. After all, the economic stimulus payments this Summer, themselves only borrowed from future tax refunds otherwise due recipients, totally fixed the USA economy and returned it to 1960's or better performance...even Lou Dobbs said the other night the latest market woes, sending Shearson-Lehman byebye, has not perturbed remaindermen in the least. The ONLY thing that could "logically" slump Christmas sales then would be a rejection of this Christ by nationals and others already here who don't want to identify with "anecdotal pockets" of either Roman Catholics who "see Christ as a non-Socialist" or Jews and Protestants who see Christ as "a bastion against liberals and sharing with anyone".
Thus, when the new President and Congress start the influx of say Eastern Orthodox Christians and European Muslims who at least agree Socialism is the message of Christ, our officials at every level will be "justified" in using direct clones of European Union Parliament Article 13-type powers in re-arranging "the remaining Churched" to better share our nation's opulent wealth in ways "respectful of God's true will".
Perhaps one day, just being Baptised, or born or Jew or Muslim or atheist or whatever, will become 'some evidence' of threatening the security and uniformity of society, as officials deem it on HR 1955-type national or local as-needed basis.
In sum, all the relevant hi jinks are merely to support one day that USA Judeo-Christians are all a bunch of nationalistic and racist hoarders of dripping gold and boundless freedom/opportunities...they have plenty, and by God, the next President WILL make this a kinder, gentler, more compassionate nation than it's ever dared be before; oh, and THIS time, doing things the same way with different nature immigrants and expecting different results might really not be an insanity.
Hey...I thought religion was supposed to be nothing but psychology; maybe politicians and media celebrities are the real ones who need such licensing before preaching, personally or off teleprompters.
