Another Evangelical Election Year Perspective.

Being "evangelical" myself, in that all my life I've studied or followed scholarly writings on metaphysics, ontology, and the seven leading faiths of the world, I have at least a nodding acquaintance with the texts and writing styles of Bibles common to Christian groups; for within purposes, I refer to the Bible as it was in the hands of Martin Luther at 1520A.D. and his writing "An Appeal To The Ruling Class Of German Nationality For The Amelioration Of The State Of Christendom" (which includes his "Three Walls" treatise), the modern King James version, and the 1989 version of the New American Bible.
In reference whereof:

1. I can locate no passage(s) in any said text(s) wherein God is portrayed as telling mankind to "go green or perish", nor to do no labor, nor depend wholly upon Him for Divine sustenance in this life; indeed, obsessing over the 'global warming' issue...involving little more than enactment of anti-pollution laws as they already are 1970 to date in the USA...does little when the same voices accept that Darfur has a leader privileged from ICC warrants, as if he and other leaders here and there, well, trim the fat so to speak, as their way of coping with what for their personal wealth are "too many people" likely to just need more icky emission controls that would add pennies to operating costs.

2. I can locate no passage(s) in within relevant Biblical text(s) which state or reasonably imply that the poor or otherwise disadvantaged...regardless of initial ethnicity, nationality, or class...are to be deemed "vessels of wrath", nor "losers"; likewise no passage(s) known to me that state or imply one is "saved" simply by uttering a phrase like "I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior" and thereafter needing to do so little good work, Adolf Hitler and Josef Stalin could waltz into Heaven if they'd just said that between Auschwitz train and NKVD van lampshade and eyeglass sales. In fact, much of the relevant Biblical New Testament texts appear to give amazingly OPPOSITE words of Christ and of Apostles...which further seem to convey that ALL souls, rich/poor/in between, are precious to God and each due dignity on earth.

3. As to those within the so-called "Evangelical Climate Initiative" or similar "Evangelicals", even they don't seem to have a direct opinion on why mounting credit and other debts are a good tool to use to "force" non-labor, non-income "green going" on populations; indeed, they seem to imply a Socialist system, even if backed by totalism of leaders who then would be the sole source of money for such educators and New Age ministers, is hunky-dory and the ultimate in God's plan, yet again, where is that in any usual Bible?

4. For myself, it seems the only thing one should question re immigrants as a single issue is why make it seem all they can choose is get tossed out, or partake in a New Age Socialist system that flicks away "God's wrath vessels" today, and those yet to be discovered as time marches on? The real issue should be" how do all of already here together make an ever-bettering USA, and a better world through ardently following lawful justice for everyone and treating all with personal dignity? As it is now, one side just says "yeehah, pack more immigrants in!", the other side says "yeehah! Pack 'em in, but don't give them varmints no citizenship or nothin', just credito and welfare for now, and otherwise bill 'em like everyone else!"; the only bipartisanship thereafter seems to be both major parties want to convince immigrants they're doing God's Will in displacing wrath vessels and will have work thereafter (i.e., actually, Hispanics or whoever du jour are God's REAL chosen people, so hang in there, hang in there, hang in there)...um, as global warming permits, that is; if food or bill money gets tight, God loves abortion, divorce, and same-sex if it'll get you through (see, we just tell GRINGOS: God will feed them if tossed out of society...don't listen to say the Roman Catholics, as they bring in all immigrants and God is on our side, Satan on theirs, and we've got these liberal tricks to defeat them, so hang in there, hang in there, hang in there).

In sum, to me, there appears a degree of gnosticism to the admixture of New Age ministers and secular professors making the majority of "evangelicals" supporting the Left...especially since during the first few months of 2008, Obama thought Churchgoers were ALL "bitter", and his supporters such as PFAW were mailing via USPS six-page diatribes cursing Bush and the GOP on grounds of "trying to re-create a Christian nation!"; odd indeed that all of a sudden there are these some "evangelicals" wildly embracing ANY political parties omnibus views, let alone any which would tend to be in tension with faith deposits 2,000 or more years old.
