If to Comcast EWTN isn't a matter of anti-Vaticanism or anti-Catholicism elective to Comcast, it's just that Comcast finds EWTN "dangerous psychology" or whatever similar or else, it doesn't hold water...especially where "God is a trouble-maker".
If Comcast (or government) worries about "Tennessee Church shooting-like links ala Hannity, O'Reilly, Limbaugh", odd Comcast still carries the FOX affiliate sporting such men.
Odd that Comcast hasn't cut "Jack Van Impe Presents" from channel 3, or on WGN Tuesday late night; Van Impe was a protege of Jerry Falwell, and is a Liberty University alum.
Odd that Comcast hasn't pulled "Pastor Melissa Scott" on channel 15 at midnight Central time every weeknight followed for hours by "Inspiration Ministry"; nor has Comcast pulled a litany of preachers from faith healers to Baptists running nightly on channel 3...nor weekend inspirations on BET channel 46.
Um, won't we be "unsafe" with so many Christian programs left on Comcast, in presence of FOX to boot? I don't believe the "squelch God for safety hoodoo, but if Comcast does, why? Come on, that TN shooting was a loon alleging against liberals in a Unitarian Church, some say liberal feminism triggered the loon, so the reason Comcast leaves collar-wearing "PASTOR Melissa Scott" on air is...? Oh, and I forgot to mention those public access channels 17 and 19 with all their weekly Christian and Islamic shows...still on Comcast.
Oddly enough, none of these other Comcast shows seem more "liberal" in content than EWTN. One could say other evangelists have no Church buildings "in danger", but Pastor Scott has the largest Protestant Church in downtown LA and tapes at it; and many Comcast shows are filmed in Churches.
Pull EWTN as it urges viewers to politically comment, or makes comments ala Father Pacwa and Corapi, Fulton Sheen reruns? Again, how about Van Impe? CLTV channel 53 swoons for Cardinal George and UCC Pfleger, no "powderkegs" there.
The only Comcast difference between EWTN and all other Comcast evangelists is that EWTN actually acknowledges immigrants and the poor in programs specific to them, together with all others as one family of man...every single other show is geared to English-speaking only; Comcast thus simply adds invidious innuendo the Catholic Church is responsible for all immigration (q.v., e.g., Lou Dobbs), that they use the Eucharist as mind control for such purpose(q.v., MSNBC), and that they work with Bush as Nazi Crusaders to get oil for immigrant cars (q.v., e.g., Bill Maher)...odd Comcast pulls EWTN in favor of that mindset or despite it, unless Comcast has a plausible other theory it cares to reveal; I admit I'm at a loss to estimate one.
McCain and Obama are actually one in the same on foreigners, making polemics are hard suspicion: Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) favors HR 1955 and mass visas, Virgil Goode (R-NC) calls ALL Muslims the enemy, and McCain won't commit otherwise or to MEANS of overcoming status quo; House Dems introduced and passed HR 1955 last year, hide behind global warming as a reason for less jobs, and via saying tons of bin Ladens now exist tacitly agree with Goode that ALL Muslims are enemies even if out of Iraq, so we need totalist supervision run by States to keep us safe...while Obama offers no MEANS to overcome status quo. However, Obama distinguishes his platform with the belief "good works" are unnecessary in any faith or in secular life or service.
Might explain why even in solid Democrat areas such as Illinois, by such context easy Dem majority vote results showing voters as universalists themselves (electing, e.g., Roman Catholics like Daley, Durbin; electing stricter-than-EWTN-Eastern Orthodox Catholic Gov. Blagojevich; and electing Muslim turned UCC Obama), the only advice offered to OBVIOUS universalists like the Vatican and Universal Life Church or Unitarians is "shut up, move, or both". The within concludes all I can say re prior video missionary work for EWTN...I want to be clear why such missionaries as myself didn't/don't "push" de facto anarchy or sedition, nor is EWTN reflective of religiosity intolerable to the Comcast viewing, and State manifest population, majority.
