In recent years, globally there sometimes appears a love/hate public policy toward religion in general, but actually the two thoughts always remain separate.
Those opposed to religion of any kind have one thing in common: no matter the faith, none of it can be Divinely inspired nor can a superior being or beings exist because it's too tiring and apparently impossible to even plausibly suggest where the very first "Big Bang" before anything else came from or spontaeniously generated itself; therefore, maybe a Creator exists, but ask the Unitarians...absolutely no faith on earth could ever have the audacity to have gotten it right since in Unitarian experience the Creator at best puts life out there to fend on its own with no further earthly intervention. Some then say those with faith may govern as if responsible to a Creator, others say explanatory reduction of doomsday and Big Bang theorists is enough data for them so they'll treat all religious faiths as at best unlicensed practice of psychology...sure, if a REAL faith comes along it's Constitutionally protected, but to date, not a single one one earth is valid to some officials, since at best God is silent.
Subtexts often are confused for faith perspective. For example, a Papal Catechism may say it's wrong to spend money on animals when say a child in your town is burned and in intensive care without funds, but PETA enthusiasts condemn the not giving of equal status at all times of goldfish and dogs to human spouses and children. Another example: a politician loves a Christian liberation theology which can substitute cause for need and society-wide improvements, allowing it to appear that official sides with the liberation theologist...but in reality, that official still views all religion as mere psychology and funds only those Churches deemed needed for pacifying or "diagnosing" mass immigrants...including those of violent liberation theolgy themselves... winding up with nothing to do; as well, atheists and others are "diagnosed" of depression, suspicion, threat to an official's jurisdiction, what have you, simply for not attending the "right" Curch or supporting its "mission" paid for by a local official's faith funds...usually the "diagnosis" morphs into "prognosis" an outsider is a xenophobe, racist, or nationalist.
Thus, for the record, New Pathways Ministries finds many people of peaceful nature and boundless goodwill are having a hard time finding sacred objects, sacramentals, literature, and places to meet for traditional, simple, non-liberation theology worship of the Creator as they know same to be...Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus, and many others. Many who would go to what House of Worship they have in various are afraid to because they don't want to be "diagnosed".
Without concern for the given politics of any particular place on earth, New Pathways Ministries will endeavor to help general persons of goodwill and non-liberation theology locate objects and sacramentals for simply observing their faiths; offer to visit prisons, jails, hospitals, and so forth where same is lawful and assist therein lodged people so interested with finding places of worship, faith literature, and sacramentals; and offer to grow volunteers for Houses of Worship for identifying humanitarian needs in their communities.
New Pathways Ministries intends no particular geographic boundaries for its initiative work.
Thank you for this opportunity to explain my new faith project. New Pathways Ministries is a separate, non-Church controlled or owned non-profit initiative also having no connection to the business of New Pathways Universal Life Church.
New Pathways Ministries is dedicated first and foremost to the world's universal Creator; to the memory of Maximillian Kolbe, a Priest executed by Nazis under Hitler simply for believing in a universal God; and to the memory of the late Archbishop Fulton John Sheen.
