Remember Barack Obama of the 2004 DNC Convention Keynote speech? As shown at  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awQkJNVsgKM , 5:06 to end, he said no USA citizens should have knocks on doors, all should have votes counted, there is more to do for USA NATIONALS, nobody expects government to solve problems, they don't want welfare waste, and even welfare people want off it.
 
Then at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UDKXKGZ3PY , 2:56 to 3:04, Obama says the only way, however, to fix things is for Democrats to embrace a mentality that (for a period?), that they are their brothers' and sisters' keepers...so at same link at 4:08-4:12, when Obama said Democrats don't want FEDS participating in PATRIOT -like stuff, judging by 2007 Democrat idea HR 1955 viewable at http://www.opencongress.org/bill/110-h1955/show inter alia, Obama just meant only States and Towns should have gerrymandered say-so detention of ANYONE as Mayors and such deem fit and there ought not be a thing any Fed or President or Justice Department or Supreme Court can do about it...heck, Democrats ALREADY use immigration code subsection 287g like a PATRIOT club without trials, why not add citizens as homegrowns if a Mayor or whoever thinks folks would get touchy about re-arranging housing, costs, immigration, whatever, for "public treasury profits", U.N. appeasement(s), or both?
 
Something to think about, because back then Obama said we...all races and walks together...worshipped the same awesome God, yet does that match with today's Obama and his Chicago-based religious enthusiasts? The way some and Obama now talk, it's like while they raise all taxes (and local ones to make up volume lost to new Fed taxes), bring jihadists to Los Angeles or at least pay off foreign Muslims susceptible to extremism ( http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-11-08-muslims_N.htm ), and call non-New Age Christians and ALL unchurched bitter clingers to an old American idealism, PATRIOT should NOT watch foreign parties entering USA and ANYONE here for bona fide AUMF terrorism, sub-Federals just need to seal bat whoever in their totalist stagecraft of local social programming...via HR 1955 and 287g.
 
It really DOES seem, and Conventions surely will clear up, that Democrats adore the totalism and immigration and trade stylings Bush hasn't interrupted, it's just that they think Democrats and States should use such power for themselves on anything that makes their rodomontades fly...sort of re stinky work, don't remove the warts criticized, remove the pesty, uppity, full of overblown self-worth citizen and business critics.
