Perhaps folks like global catholic network EWTN and Roman Catholic Cardinal George can serve a diagnostic purpose, despite their reliances on political expediencies occasioned by diversity in faith fund-distributing States...EWTN replays of their daily Mass yesterday had a priest said to be from Arlington VA, who essentially gave sermon that ALL Christians must give up every possession and right thereto if they want to be considered TRUE disciples of Christ; Cardinal George has an archdiocese where some folks are "Benedict XVI Catechism", and many are "wing-it worshipers", sounding by descriptions by the Church like folks also non-citizens and SOCIALISTIC in re religion: as in it's okay to have euthanasia, abortion, mass government owned housing, mass welfare on national scales, gay or animal marriages or whatever floats your boat...man, they're just at Church to get Catholic Charities handouts and want to get the power from God as they see fit, as they live without right of ownership in anything THEY as a class touch and without work, and see no embarrassment in sharing the gift of life with as many as THEY chose to have born and all family health care paid for by the USA or whoever.

Now, just what if there were two manifest types of immigrants all along, and contemplated by Democrats and some GOP as being eternally waved in without distinction? One is the kind who is as earnest about life as any American or any other person with dignity and has been told by their origin nation they cannot stay nor ever come back, the other is the sort who accepts themselves as individuals with value as decided by a state or party in nature of nationalized human capital (q.v., Marxism, Socialism).

 

If such two groups existed at the same time, it seems logical that we at least inquire of ALL their leaders WHY they have to come, don't fit at home, or both. Then, for those say in Darfur faced with Human Rights Watch-affirmed terror group Janjaweed or other genocide, maybe we could extend Iraqi troops to quell such terror groups and let people have their autonomy, instead of locking up Bush or the Next in Iraq or at home, especially if your Janjaweed types help Qaeda and non-Qaeda factions disrupt in Iraq.

 

In any event, where one group of immigrants is in earnest, WANTS to be diverse Americans working together with all of us, you know even I am not going to say just toss them; but where one group would be Socialists who don't even have to come to the USA to live that way, they just "help buy peace" by sprinkling some fast, easy, no responsibility government mortgage and faith cash with politically orthodox businesses here and there, then take the majority of it back to nations of origin and spend it there or just gamble it away or whatever, also using all USA hospitals and doctors as but extensions of their Socialist doctors at home, um...we already pay huge prices for fuel and food and medicine due to control of foreign dictators and managed economies, we give up almost all trade and jobs just to have New Urban communities, so.....WHY would anyone in their right minds suggest such a scheme in any way rationally definable is in the economic or national security interests of the USA? Sounds more like a bunch of amorphous USA elitists merely twisting facts to run the USA as if it WERE a Gulag or Socialist totalist land "needing strong say-so protection internally from dissidents and other decadent forces, comrades"...or more closely, Edward I and the serfs, serfs actually Medieval chattel who ranked less than USA slaves before abolition. And without concern for what foreign totalists have as an endgame once there's no more USA land or cash to play with.

 

If there are two such kinds of immigrants, obviously we need an admixture of slowed-down immigration and mortgage et al set-up, letting those who MUST accept USA citizenship and renounce foreign citizenship stay, further putting even these immigrants on the same life disciplines we eternally put all our other nationals on without concern or exceptions, and in any event never letting visas out-strip possible places in the USA TO do any possible jobs for income and look after its own food and fuel on balance with imports. Anyone just looking to have a "party" and be an excuse for dislocating already-present persons before scooting back to Socialist/totalist origin should, at best, receive minimal humanitarian care as they swiftly are moved to the nearest border...come on, nobody on earth would let the USA or most any other nation do that to them, including the Vatican.

 

I brought this up only in that local media from Chicago are touting that Democrats actually intend to use the mortgage fiasco of 2007 against the GOP, as if States and Cities in BOTH parties played no parts and Democrats BEING the States Rights party after all, and as if to infer that with OBAMA at the helm, doing what the Democrat Congress proposes about immigration, housing, and green over commerce and farms WILL make all fine for everyone everywhere...that Democrat Congressional agenda re said issues 2007-08 appears to be "2007 only pedal to the metal", so I look forward to Conventions and Fall debates to see how parties define "immigrants".
