Through a link from a Catholic lay organization, I joined my own text with theirs and emailed the following to several Catholic Universities, in support that recipients of governmental funds for faith-building who then actually re-define a faith in coincidence to their funding authority(ies) ought to have all possible funding immediately withheld:
"In Ex Corde Ecclesiae, Pope John Paul II affirmed that "every Catholic university, without ceasing to be a university, has a relationship to the Church that is essential to its institutional identity." He also stated that "the institutional fidelity of the university to the Christian message includes a recognition of and adherence to the teaching authority of the Church in matters of faith and morals."
Disregarding Ex Corde Ecclesiae, many Catholic institutions of higher learning, including your own, allow and in some cases even recognize "pro-homosexual" clubs and/or activities.
In varying degrees of intensity, such groups and activities participate in the homosexual movement's open and radical challenge to 2,000 years of Catholic moral teaching. The movement's subversive agenda endangers the souls of students who have a right to study on a Catholic campus without being subjected to organized efforts to promote unnatural vice.
I therefore join TFP Student Action in respectfully urging you to discontinue authorizing or recognizing any pro-homosexual group and/or activities on your campus. Your clear and forceful steps in this matter are necessary to avert further scandal. I strongly believe this agenda must be denounced and opposed, not assisted.
In signing this petition, I have no intention to defame or disparage anyone. I am not moved by hatred for any individual. My only intent is to defend the Catholic identity of Catholic universities against the advance of a homosexual agenda that seeks to impose social acceptance of homosexual behavior.
The point is not to afford Catholic political platforms for homosexuals, but to show that if...just like the rest of us...they keep exuberance of their routine sexuality in context of gender identity rather than something to flaunt, they can partake of the same things we do within official Vatican contexts. For example, would the Church or any part thereof, or ANY faith really, have a pedophile club, smokers club, drug users club, prostitutes and pole dancers club, and so on, with intent of focusing on protecting such activities as canon "social charity? No, they would not, and the same goes for gay life praise as much as it would heterosexual orgy mongering or polygamy.
Anything else in the Roman Catholic Latin Church is purely modernist internationalism...a type of politics...and any such institution offering same should limited to them alone be taxed and fined per IRS regulations, in that anti-Papism today is really attraction or motivation of incardinates at-large into humanism, whether any particular political party in any nation also espouses humanism and attendant philosophies; and where politicians DO found themselves upon such rhetoric AND have a hand in administering faith-based funds to religious organizations and groups urging the same, such funding should be discontinued in addition to application of IRS penalties or similar in other lands."
Wherefore, I have received via USPS today a generic PSA from Francis Cardinal George to begin paying my Annual Catholic Appeal pledge; but the Church which originated my pledge this January has since displayed the consecrated Host for Eucharistic Adoration Holy Thursday in the Church only as wafers in a can, not a Host in monstrance (which they have as seen Laetare Sunday and not reported missing), said Church dissuades against the Pope and EWTN, and is part of an archdiocese-wide RCIA to educate contrary to the Vatican if one wants to be on member rolls...and now has no Eucharistic Ministry to speak of as if it's not that important for the Host to be received by as many as possible, and preaches denigration of immigrants via calling them all poor guttersnipes while telling diverse nationals they are unworthy of social charity including community programs, their only duty being to provide food and money for immigrants via copious collections on top of government and corporate funding...no, even if you attend regularly and DON'T complain, or even know grounds thereof, at least half will never be said to be members as one side of the political equation says appearance of non-attendance suggest parallel of terrorist bent while attendance means endorsement of such opiners' overall agendas.
I have sent my concerns to the USCCB and await answer, but in the pendency I am withholding both my presence in any Chicago archdiocese RC Church, and until the USCCB directs me otherwise I regretfully will withhold not only cash donations but all monies pledged until if ever it is clarified such money will not be used to teach other than as Pope Benedict defines liturgy, catechism, and faithful citizenship.
At least this shows you can't "fix things like flipping a switch" by voting Democrat, Independent, or anything else, blindly...even when PFAW exhorts virulently against religion, always missing is "so anyway, Dems would stop funding faiths", probably because then A) they get USA and EU (cute how EU could be mistaken for 'Estados Unidos', isn't it?) faiths to never stop being ersatz immigration and welfare agencies, and B) can blame the GOP as States "have" to do it when a GOP is President, then yap anew for another decade "vast right-wing conspiracy!!!" or "China or fill-in-the-blank will demand it!" when a Dem President or State STILL "has to do it"...and forget such "faiths" evolve per fave pols worldwide, and always on "re-education" from the top down, like all revolutions. At least amorphous elitists across the globe can scratch each other's backs more leisurely as a result.
Other than that, who cares WHAT any religion says beyond conscience and spirit direction; all of them do that best when politicians don't pull the purse strings. On such basis, getting government out of religion makes as much sober sense today as when William F. Buckley Jr. first said government and religion/charity need lives of their own.
